An establishment that's somewhat hidden from the general public, but which completely won us over. The waitress was top-notch with an infectious smile. A pleasant chef who took the time to come into the dining room to show us the mushrooms he'd picked for our risotto. We'll definitely be back, the food being excellent. Thank you very much.

A very nice restaurant with very good food. At first glance, it seemed a bit unassuming, but as soon as we walked through the door, we were pleasantly surprised. We were offered a seat on the cozy terrace in the back garden, which is a really nice place to sit, but it's also very cozy inside. The food was fabulous, and there was hardly any wait.

Amazing and highly recommended. The location is elegant and relaxing, just the right amount without being overbearing, making you feel at ease. The attentive, never-invasive service, always with great courtesy and friendliness, truly enhanced the experience. But the real plus is the cuisine: dishes that are astonishing in taste and presentation, truly astonishing the palate with their combinations, the quality of the ingredients, and the culinary technique. In short, a restaurant that exudes love for this profession, a passion for making diners happy and welcoming, both with the food and the service. For a dinner for two, including two appetizers, two first courses, and a glass of red, the total bill comes to €80, more than deserved for the experience and the quality of the food offered.

In the summer of 2025, we stayed at Antica Casa Basari in Borgo Ticino and had lunch one day while touring around Lake Maggiore. It was a local restaurant recommended by Michele, the owner of Casa Basari, and the food was good and the atmosphere was good. It was lunchtime, so there were quite a few people, but the friendly staff served us quickly, so we had a light lunch. I had seabass and my wife had dumplings. We had a healthy, delicious pre-meal bread.

Excellent food, welcoming atmosphere, the owner very kind and cordial in his simplicity and affability. We will definitely return.

We discovered this lovely restaurant by chance and every time we go there it is a pleasant confirmation of the quality of the food, the food and wine research and the kindness of the owners and the service. In an informal and elegant, well-kept and welcoming environment, the dishes are traditional but reinterpreted with care. Last night we ate the amazing fried gnocco, the seafood gnocchi and a wonderful Fassona tartare, all of excellent quality, well presented, and at reasonable prices. We ended in style with the apple dessert and the revisited, a delicious ricotta cream. We can't wait to go back. BRAVI!
