A welcoming, youthful, and unique atmosphere. Professional, extremely kind, and friendly staff. Simple menu with a few dishes from the kitchen and pizzeria. Excellent pan pizza. Very carefully crafted and attractive plating. The draft beer is also very good. Prices are reasonable. Reservations are recommended.

Located in one of Reggio Emilia's main squares, the restaurant arouses curiosity. Inside, the cleverly placed lights create a captivating atmosphere while simultaneously highlighting the hits of the music scene from decades past. The presentation of the dishes is meticulous. The restaurant's great strength is its respect for its customers' time: the attentive service never weighs on its patrons.

I went there last Friday. The focaccia with mortadella was good, the glass of Chardonnay was excellent. The place was very nice, the staff were kind and attentive. Well done.

Great for aperitifs, trendy place.

I celebrated my birthday on Saturday evening at The Riff, a truly beautiful venue, where I'd been several times for both dinner and drinks. Because of the positive impression I'd had in the past, I decided to host my evening there, inviting friends from other cities and countries as well. Unfortunately, however, some incidents left me a bit perplexed. The manager's attitude, in particular, seemed rather annoyed. I understand that working with the public isn't always easy, but his expression and manner clearly conveyed annoyance. On a couple of occasions, when he wanted to pass and found someone in the hallway, he even rolled his eyes in annoyance, a gesture I found unprofessional. Furthermore, around 10:45 PM, I clearly heard the manager ask to turn the air conditioning to zero, and immediately afterward, the temperature dropped sharply, so much so that it was starting to get cold. When we pointed this out to the curly-haired waitress who also handles the cash register, she rudely responded, claiming they didn't have air conditioning—a claim contradicted by the facts, as the temperature returned to normal shortly thereafter. It should be noted, however, that the rest of the staff, particularly the waitress who took our order (a waitress with long, straight hair and a ponytail) and the other young waiter, were always very helpful, kind, and attentive, making the experience pleasant. The evening itself was positive thanks to the people around me, but some of the attitudes tarnished the experience somewhat and left a bad impression on my friends as well. The Riff was founded with the aim of bringing energy, freshness, and liveliness to the city of Reggio, and I don't think this type of behavior reflects the vision of the partners, especially Montanari, who has extensive experience in the restaurant business and understands the importance of hospitality. The same goes for Benny and Volo, public figures accustomed to interacting with people every day: I'm sure they understand how important kindness and customer service are. I hope this review will be taken as a constructive opportunity for improvement, because the place has great potential and deserves to be remembered not only for its beauty, but also for the quality of the experience and service.

The Riff in Reggio Emilia is a great spot with a cool vibe, good drinks, and friendly staff that make you feel welcome right away. The atmosphere is stylish yet relaxed, making it perfect for a night out. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that snacks during aperitivo are only available for an extra charge, while in Italy they’re usually included as part of the culture. With complimentary bites, it would easily deserve the highest rating.
