A spacious, industrial-style restaurant.
The menu offers a variety of local dishes and meat specialties, their forte.
The quality is high, the portions are excellent, and the flavor of each course complements the overall experience.

Very beautiful and refined place, nothing to complain about, but I'm giving it 3 stars because I didn't like certain things.
1- On the menu, which is only digital and not paper, when you go to certain sections (like Smash Burger) they say they're not available, but then they actually make them (but why say they're not available if they actually make them? Who knows?)
2- For those who don't eat sandwiches but prefer just a first course, well, I really wanted to send their dishes back.
I ordered gnocchi, and my friends went for tagliatelle with ragù, passatelli, and pasta carbonara. The gnocchi were very good, but 10 gnocchi with tomato sauce and melted buffalo mozzarella seems like the kitchen was trying to save money?
And let's not even talk about my friends' tagliatelle; there was basically only ragù and 4 tagliatelle (there are tagliatelle in this ragù, after all). Finally, the passatelli, basically 4. The only person who got a fair portion was the one who ordered the pasta carbonara.
3- Quality, quantity, and price need to be reconsidered! For those who order sandwiches, although slightly expensive (for around €18 at some places I can get a first and second course with a coffee (and save €3), the quality is excellent—the sandwiches they offer are truly excellent—but the first courses are just not up to par. If a customer only eats the first course and nothing else, the portion should be generous. If, however, they order a first course and second course, an appetizer and first course, or an appetizer and second course, then I can understand why they're a bit "small."
For a first course and a macchiato, I paid €24—a foolish thing, knowing that with that kind of money, at some places I can eat more and pay less!
Conclusion: If you're going to the place for a delicious, high-quality sandwich, even if it's a bit pricey, it's acceptable for once. But what if I only have a first course? Nope.
I'd say the atmosphere and service are excellent, the waiters are friendly, and nothing to complain about.
Is it worth it? Yes, at least once. Would I go back? Honestly, no, too expensive.

A cute, industrial-style place.
Quality food, with a wide variety of choices, especially meat and wines/cocktails. The Ferrarese bread is delicious, but the cheesecake is a bit less so.
The attentive service provided us with detailed menu information, suggesting the type of meat to choose based on our tastes. However, it was a bit rushed, as our plates were taken away as soon as we finished them.
Prices are a bit high, but justified by the quality and central location of the place.
Reservations recommended.

A very charming and sophisticated place. You're captivated as soon as you enter, feeling like you're immersed in a beautiful gallery! The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and always smiling.
The menu is also quite extensive, and the ingredients used are high-quality. The presentation of some dishes is truly spectacular! A good selection of wines and alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails!

Overall, I have to say it was a pleasant and satisfying evening. The wine list is exceptional; I ordered a truly delicious 2017 Sangiovese Riserva from the Braschi winery. I can say the food was quite good; the only real downside was that the ventilation system was probably malfunctioning, and we left the restaurant with our clothes reeking of cooking odors that had remained on our clothes for at least 24 hours. Overall, I highly recommend this place, and I recommend ordering some Black Angus beef.

Very elegant and well-maintained location, very kind and knowledgeable staff.
I had a smash burger and I have to say it was incredible, the best sandwich of my life. Every ingredient was balanced and made the sandwich super balanced. The size of the bun was just right, and the meat was cooked to perfection. I paired it with a delicious double red beer (I highly recommend it). For dessert, I had a Sophia, and I have to say it was exceptional. The bill was very fair. Overall, one of the best dinners of my life.

The Lab is a top-notch restaurant, one of those places where you know you're guaranteed a great experience. The service is impeccable: highly trained, professional, and extremely kind waiters, always attentive but never intrusive. It's the perfect place when you want to make a good impression: bringing someone here means you can't go wrong.
The restaurant certainly has its costs, but they're absolutely proportionate to the quality of the experience. Furthermore, the prices aren't at all excessive: the menu is varied and offers plenty of choice for those who want something more sophisticated or those who prefer more affordable options, without sacrificing quality.
The wine list is extremely detailed and extensive, capable of satisfying enthusiasts and experts alike, as well as those simply looking for a good pairing.
Personally, I especially love the burgers, which I consider without hesitation the best I've ever eaten: to date, I've yet to find a place that offers them at this level.
The place is also striking from an aesthetic point of view: modern, beautiful, and very spacious, with attention to every detail. The only small criticism concerns the layout of the spaces: it would be perfect with a few more private rooms than the large central dining room, for those seeking a little more intimacy.
Overall, an excellent restaurant in every way, highly recommended.

We dined at this restaurant on January 4, 2026. For our first round, we ordered 1 "Inno alla zucca" and 3 "Chicken Popcorn."
For our second round, we chose 1 "American Eagle," 3 "Il Da Vinci," and 1 plate of pumpkin cappellacci with Black Angus ragù. Everything was amazing, rich in flavor and truly satisfying. The ingredients were high-quality and the attention to detail was evident.
The setting is beautiful, modern, and very refined, perfect for both a dinner with friends and a special evening. The service was courteous and fast.
Currently my favorite place to eat in Ferrara.
The only downside (which is actually a plus): it's often crowded, so I recommend booking well in advance.
