The hotel restaurant Monterosa In Ameno

Hotel/restaurant recommended by my mother, where she recently had lunch and really enjoyed it. Good price and great location, I decided to book a one-night stay for a couples' getaway. Unfortunately, I had to cancel at the last minute for work, but the staff very kindly accommodated my cancellation. I'll try to book again around Christmas, hoping for better luck!

The property is clean and welcoming, the restaurant is also good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing is, change the towels! :)

A welcoming and relaxing hotel in Ameno (in name and in fact) surrounded by greenery above Lake Orta, excellent breakfast and cuisine, great value for money

Mid-range hotel surrounded by nature on the heights of Lake Orta. 10 minutes by car. Simple and quick meals. Unbeatable value for money.

Small rooms, but everything you need is there. The only thing is that they say you can see the lake, but even from the balcony you can't. There are tons of trees!!! Tons. I don't even think there's anything beyond that. If you look at the map, it seems far away. But the environment is quiet, and as someone who's escaping the city, I couldn't be happier.

Super quiet place with a view directly in front of the Monterosa, really kind and friendly people, super service and the days I was there I saw the rally which was more of a transfer but it was a nice surprise 😎

The hotel is located in a beautiful, peaceful natural setting above Lake Orta. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are equipped with everything you need, and everything is very clean. One point deducted for breakfast; it was okay, but we were full. It lacked a bit of freshness—tomatoes, cucumber, olives, mozzarella, and some raw vegetable sticks—carrots and peppers—but that's just a comment. Dinner was well-prepared and very tasty—unfortunately, the plates were cold, and so was the delicious food. Perhaps these comments will be implemented. We definitely recommend a stay at the hotel and would book there again.

A beautiful gem of a hotel; basic but comfortable with a great breakfast. Waking up to a stunning view of the mountains in the distance was priceless.

A stay at Monterosa guarantees: tranquility, a carefree atmosphere, the desire to go for walks (even by bike), and meditation... and then just a few minutes away is Orta San Giulio and its beautiful village. Clean rooms and excellent service. Reasonable price and excellent breakfast/restaurant (optional). The property shows its seasonality (not so much in the common areas, but in the room assigned to me). However, the overall quality/price ratio is certainly favorable.

Nice hotel with a great view! The rooms are a bit old but have everything: AC, Fridge, Flowdryer e.g. but we had no balcony. Sadly the walls in our part of the hotel were really thin that we couldn’t really sleep caused by a crying baby 3 nights in a row. Breakfast was really good with a nice service!
