THE first and original Irish pub in Rome, opened in the late 1970s. At that time there were no other pubs/bars to be found anywhere. It was a favorite hang out when I was a student in Rome at that time, a meeting place for expats. It's about to celebrate its 50th anniversary in October 2026. The walls and bar are now covered with 50 years of memorabilia. It is small, but hosts events like sports watch parties, music, and holiday parties. They now also have a small kitchen, but we did not try the food. Absolutely worth seeking out just a few steps from Santa Maria Maggiore. It is historic, so I guess I am too!

An Irish pub, just as it should be. English is spoken. You get your drinks at the bar. Rugby or hurling is on TV.

We only had a few drinks and were able to enjoy the great atmosphere. The place was packed, which is why the drinks took a while. But that didn't spoil the experience; it was a fantastic evening at the pub.

A local Irish pub. One of my favorite places in Rome. I love everything about it, from the design to the cocktails. Finding a seat can be a bit difficult as it's a little cramped. The prices are also very reasonable. Their playlists are excellent; you'll have a great time.

Really great atmosphere, the owner was very friendly and welcoming. We got to watch a heap of champions league games while we were travelling and met some great people. 100% would recommend!

17/03/2026: Very, very delicious and traditional Roman cuisine, and the bread is exceptional! I'll definitely come back.
15/03/2026: Very nice taverns near the Spanish Steps. The staff can sometimes be a bit too serious and aloof. The service is very fast and the music is very nice. However, the prices are sky-high, and the only real downside is that the bread is placed on the table upon your arrival. Obviously, you pay for it. So you're not given a choice, nor are you informed in advance. Because of this, I'm giving it a 3. This is something I didn't appreciate at all and which I consider highly misleading. The baked potatoes are also not very good due to the very strange flavor of the skin. The cacio e pepe pasta is excellent. They have high chairs for children.
