A unique experience! Excellent staff! Amazing food!

Amazing experience, better than other starred restaurants. The tasting menu, we took the seasonal one, was perfectly paired with quality wines, especially the dessert one. The artistic presentation of the dishes is wonderfully linked to their complex and unique tastes even if the menu does not neglect the simplicity and quality of the tastes of Genoa. The staff is young but prepared and has great attention to detail, despite the elegant atmosphere they managed to make us feel at ease and also teach us something. The breathtaking location is perfect for those who love palaces and frescoes. Don't give up on coffee at the end of the meal! It is different from the classic espresso, but above all it is accompanied by a "box" of small pastries of excellent quality. I'll just add a few photos (and not all) so as not to spoil the surprise, you have to try it!

We were in this cosy restaurant in April 2025, it was a really amasing experience. All staff was very professional, all courses was super delicious. It was my birthday and their surprise with delicious cookies and candles was very satisfying. Probably the best thing in Genova was "The Cook"

I gave my parents a dinner at "The Cook" restaurant, carefully choosing a specific tasting menu, mainly based on fish, present on the restaurant's website. The experience was a special gift and, considering the significant expense (around 400 euros for two people), I expected the agreed menu to be respected. With great regret I discovered that, at the time of dinner (last Friday), the menu had been completely changed, without any warning. Even today, on the restaurant's official website, the menu I had chosen months ago is online, which can easily mislead those who want to give a precise experience with attention to detail, as in my case. However, I would like to underline that my parents were very satisfied with the quality of the dinner they received, the refined environment and the attentive and professional service. However, I believe it is incorrect and not very transparent not to update the online menu or, at least, not to notify the customer of any changes, especially in a high-end restaurant context where expectations - rightly - are very high. A good experience overall, but with a bitter initial disappointment that could have easily been avoided with a little more clarity.
