Beautiful location and good food...

We went to the estate for a dear friend's sixtieth birthday. The place is wonderful, the service impeccable, and the food excellent.

What a wonderful place! Everything was perfect.

We chose Tenuta Yala for our annual vacation this year (summer 2025) to combine visiting Puglia and staying at the beach. The location is superb, very quiet and with more than decent facilities. We stayed 8 nights at the Pajara and took half board with diner included. The staff is very nice, always helpful, even though few speak English - it is easy to understand with them. The pool is huge and always clean, so most of the days you can choose to stay there instead of going to the sea. The beach is nearly the location, around 6-8 km (Baia Verde) with very beautiful sand and nice water. We travelled all the Puglia area, from the southernmost point (Santa Maria di Leuca) to Bari, Matera, and Alberobello. Gallipoli port is only 8-9 km away and Lecce around 40 minutes by car. The Pajara was cleaned every day with new towels, and the air conditioner is very powerful, being able to cold the room in just minutes. The diner atmosphere is very nice, with tables under the trees and close to the pool, low volume music and the nicest possible staff.

We stayed at the farmhouse next door. The place is a bit remote, almost remote...but they've managed to create a little oasis. Well done.

This evening my partner and I had the pleasure of dining at this splendid Salento farmhouse, recommended to us by some friends. We were welcomed by the very kind owner and his attentive and knowledgeable staff. We enjoyed a tasting of typical Salento appetizers—simple, authentic, and high-quality. For our first course, my partner had fresh pasta stuffed with burrata and eggplant. It was divine. I was craving the famous "CICIRI E TRIA," an ancient and typical Salento dish. Even though it wasn't on today's menu, the chefs prepared it especially for me. It was just like my grandmother, originally from Lecce, makes it...exceptional. We finished with two homemade desserts (spumone and cream cake) and an excellent Lecce coffee. The price was very fair for the quality and quantity. I highly recommend it to everyone. We'll definitely be back! ❤
