TEN Pasticceria Svizzera 1910 In Genova

This is the third time we have been there under the new management. Both breakfast and aperitifs were very satisfying. Attentive and kind staff, especially Mrs. Lia who welcomes with a smile and prepares excellent cocktails.

We arrived on a Tuesday at the end of May after a downpour, so we had the chance to enjoy the magnificent interiors: modern and with some sweet notes. Since it was 11:39, the offer was obviously more limited, but we still found something: I had some focaccia made by them with grains of coarse salt on top to dip in the cappuccino and my friend had something else with raisins. We will definitely be back, because she wants Poldo's Dutch stew which was already finished. Unfortunately, we were served by a young and smiling guy who deserves to make a career. The only criticism: more attention to cleaning in general.

Since November I have to go to Genoa every week for work. For now I have mainly seen the rain and traffic in this seaside city. I must admit that it is a city that I struggle to understand, it doesn't belong to me and it is so geographically and logistically distant that I don't think it will remain much in my daily life. But every visit begins here, in this pastry shop which is an oasis for me. Last Thursday I also had a brioche with eggnog, few people make them and they are delicious. Excellent coffee, a lady at the counter is always kind and smiling, and they provide table service with great professionalism. I like to sit down for a few minutes before going to work and listen to the conversations of those in company, while I enjoy these sweet treats. For me, Genoa will always have the flavor of these desserts.
