The food and the staff were absolutely incredible! They were funny, professional and polite. The food was delicious!! Thank you for making our evening so amazing between Alannah, baby Lawrence and I. Sorry we had to leave early (Lawrence was unrested) but we cannot wait to dine with you again!! 😁

Very friendly staff with a charming location a short distance from the main square. Most people seemed to be having individual dinners, but my group had a family style meal where we shared the massive Florentine steak, beans with olive oil, brased vegetables, mixed salad, tagliatelle with mushrooms, and chicken with mushrooms. Everything was at least good, but the steak was the standout of the meal. Went with the waiters wine suggestion of Cortona Syrah which paired very nicely with the steak.

Walked the town of Cortona and ended up in a small restaurant near the center called Ristorante Tempero. Our waiter described their style of food as "cucina povera" but their pastas would be 5 stars in the U.S. and were super tasty. We particularly enjoyed the Trenette al Pesto, Pappardelle w/ Beef (translated it was "white cattle"), and Grigliata di Carne. The Trenette was handmade pasta with the cleanest tasting pesto sauce I've ever had. Would definitely order this dish again. We also had the panna cotta and tiramisu for dessert. While both were very good, I think the tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had. Super good!

Great location in a lovely medieval town,we had great Pici and tagliatelle,very good red house wine and the best tiramisu. But the best part is the waiter Michel,he knows exactly what to recommend to make you fell well served.

We stayed with friends in the Cortona area and visited this restaurant at least 4 times during three weeks- the owner Mara greeted us each time and the chef Alessandro makes just amazing food!
There are plenty of options for lighter fare, antipasti and Tuscan bean soup and main course salads, but also a great variety of primi and secundi that are just wonderful!
The vin santo is marvelous for a dolce, as are the tiramisu, panna cotta, and zuppa englese (apologies for any misspelling.)
I was so sad on our night of departure- but look forward to returning to this great restaurant next year!
This is a fantastic place!
