Best restaurant we went to in Sicily! Food is absolutely incredible. Taormina is full of mediocre tourist traps and this place really shines. Small and intimate; great service. Food was delicious, honest and well plated. Every dish was thoughtful and well balanced.

I had dinner at the restaurant and was truly impressed. The atmosphere is refined, welcoming, and immediately conveys the passion with which the restaurant is run. The cuisine was a wonderful surprise: balanced dishes, extremely fresh ingredients, and tastefully and creatively crafted pairings. Every course was perfect, both in presentation and flavor. The service was attentive, kind, and professional. You truly felt pampered from start to finish. Sincere compliments to the chef and his staff: a place where you can sense their heart, dedication, and talent. A discovery absolutely worth sharing and recommending. I will gladly return!

Teatro 44 is as surprising as the origin of its name, which owner and chef Salvatore Denaro explains with a smile. High-quality cuisine brings great character and innovation to the dishes, especially the gnocchi with bisque and licorice, which is amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. The restaurant exudes creativity, which I also found in the dishes. The wine list is superb. We'll be back soon.

Went here as we were tired of the standard italian fare in Taormina. The place did offer some interesting variation on italian food. We sat inside their beautifully laid out dining room. The decor was modern with comfortable ergonomics. Good enough for us to spend more than two hours at the place. We ordered four of their appetizers and two mains with drinks and desserts. Everything was presented well and was delicious. The restaurant felt like a family run restaurant with very good service. Would recommend them for a nice comfortable dinner.

Although we only came for a drink, the service — provided by a well-trained and genuinely friendly staff — was exceptional. They offer an excellent selection of natural wines. It’s a pity we’re only here for one day, as we would definitely come back for lunch or dinner. Wishing them all the best and continued success in the future

This was a hidden gem on a quiet street with really well prepared food and professional service. It is more pricey than many other restaurants but the quality met the price. We shared the margarita fritters, the swordfish Wellington and I really wanted a salad and they made me a beautiful shaved fennel, carrots, cherry tomatoes and sprouts. It was the best salad. The ending of the coconut mousse was a highlight with dark chocolate and passionfruit in the middle.

We chose the five-course tasting menu: beautiful and refined dishes, although we found one dish a bit too salty (personal opinion, of course). The host was very friendly and offered us two glasses of Marsala! The highlight of the evening was his offer of a rare bottle of Donnafugata – Opera Unica – which made the experience even more special.
