TavernAllegra In Sorrento

By far the best food we’ve had in Italy and in our lives. We’re pretty tough food critics so a lot of food is hard to beat especially in Europe, but this was absolutely incredible (we live in NY for reference). Everything was so fresh and so light. The service was above average, every employee so friendly and sweet. The atmosphere was beautiful and fun with live music- and the music was not overbearing you could easily still have conversations. We will definitely be going back and strongly recommend everyone to try it too!

Great little restaurant. There were 2 gentlemen playing italian and english songs when we we there. It created a fun atmosphere. The food is good and the service is friendly and funny. Definately need to book.

We spent several days in Sorrento, dining here twice. The quality of the food was impressive, the staff was unbeatable, and the atmosphere was even better... live music by two very nice men. We paid between €60 and €66 for both nights, for three courses and two large beers for two people. UPDATE: We're back for the second time on our vacation, and it was even better than the last. We had a reservation, and they took just a few minutes to get us a table, and they still gave us two glasses of champagne to liven up the wait. (We've never experienced anything like this before in our lives.) The quality of the dishes was once again unbeatable, and there's nothing to say about the wonderful service from each and every one of the staff and musicians. This second time, we ordered three courses, two large beers, and one dessert; we paid €76 for two people.

Amazing food and ambiance with live music. Very busy restaurant with long waits for walk-ins though, so defs make a reservation!

Tavern Allegra was my favourite restaurant I visited in sorrento. The staff were amazing. The food delicious & the singers stole my heart! We celebrated our anniversary here and I’m so glad we did. From start to finish we were made to feel like family and didn’t want to leave.

A must-visit in Sorrento! The vibe at Travernallegra is absolutely amazing—warm, cozy, and full of that classic Italian family-style charm. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a home-cooked meal in a lively, welcoming atmosphere, this is it. And the seafood risotto? TO DIE FOR. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I’m still dreaming about it. Don’t miss this gem when you’re in Sorrento!

A lovely gem of a restaurant. Hidden away, full of friendly atmosphere and excellent food. Avoid the high street and go off piste. You will find fabulous food and genuine Italian warmth 😀

Wonderful place, be sure to make a reservation. Excellent atmosphere, especially when there's live singing. Staff wants to make sure you leave happy, and we did.

Wir waren ganz spontan und spät eingekehrt. Allerdings waren alle super freundlich und haben uns sofort Plätze angeboten. Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht. Alle waren sehr herzlich. Wir saßen total gemütlich und die Pasta war einfach fabelhaft und man hat gemerkt, dass sie selbstgemacht ist. Untermalt wurde unser Abend von echter italienischer Musik, 2 niedliche Männer haben uns den Abend versüßt. Die Stimmung war einfach fabelhaft und wir haben mit den anderen Gästen gesungen. Es wurde sich rührend um uns gekümmert. Mehrmals hat man gefragt, ob alles ok ist. Absolute Empfehlung!
