We had dinner there last night, a very nice place, the only discordant note in our opinion is the "tapestry" hanging on the wooden wall. The waiter was very friendly, nice, helpful and attentive to the customer's needs, the dishes were very interesting, we heard that they recently took over management, let's hope they manage to continue! The price was in line with what we ate. Well done!

Despite the very tourist area, Taverna San Lio is a guarantee of quality. Typical traditional dishes enriched and revisited with highly refined flavor combinations and a presentation that has nothing to envy of many starred restaurants. Not to mention the excellent quality of the raw materials. Very rich wine list with highly trained waiters able to direct you also in reference to the dishes chosen. Service very attentive to detail seasoned with genuine kindness and friendliness of the dining room staff as well as the owners who often go as far as to give further clarifications and suggestions based on the customer tastes. Entirely local staff which in a city like Venice today is truly very rare. I really recommend it. Flagship among the many tourist traps. An experience definitely worth repeating.

Room is okay, bathroom clean, air conditioning, kettle in room for tea and coffee. Dogs are welcome.

Our kind landlady recommended this restaurant to us, and we ere delighted with the meal we had here. Our kind waiter was also the owner, and he made us feel right at home in this modern dining room. The dishes were authentic and Venetian, he is not catering to tourists: he's just running a superb restaurant with delicious food and a high service level.

Ai Pie del Ponte

28/08/2024: We are left speechless after dinner last night. My husband and I are on our honeymoon and by chance made a reservation at Ai pie del ponte. We did not expect the outstanding experience we had. The chef and owner Andrea was more hosting us in his home and clearly extremely passionate about his work. We had the privilege of meeting some of his family the night we visited as this is one of the places the locals go, and it was the best experience we have had in Europe so far and likely will be the best for the rest of our trip. The food itself was the best pesto pasta and ink pasta we have ever had anywhere and the scallops, which we get many places as we love seafood, were indescribable. We spent much of our night here and felt more than welcomed, appreciating the warmth and humor of this family restaurant. Truly an experience we will not forget and will intentionally return anytime we are near in the future. Thank you so much!!
22/08/2024: What a fantastic experience. Not only was the food amazing, but the service from Andrea was also phenomenal. We got the pesto pasta and carbonara and both were out of this world. This was the best pasta we have had in Italy. Andrea was fun and lovely and hosted us very well. Great wine, plus the sunset and views were also pure class! Would come back here in a heartbeat.

27/08/2024: Just don't tell anyone else, otherwise this tip would no longer be secret. Away from the hustle and bustle, have a spritz to relax. And the cicchetti are amazing. An osteria that some people pass by carelessly without knowing what they are missing. But every detour is worth it, even if your feet hurt. Real ambience and one of the places in Venice where you feel warmly welcome. We came again and will come again.
20/08/2024: If you really want to try a Venetian cicchetteria with spritz and delicious cicchetti, I recommend this place. There is both external and internal space. It is also perfect for vegetarians. Really tasty and good!
