Taverna San Lio In Venezia

I spent a very pleasant evening, good dishes, good wine. I recommend the Sardines in Saor and the cod, among the first courses I recommend the tortelli alla coda... and what can I say... the liver (which I normally don't like) is delicious here. The bill is reasonable.

Very friendly and nice staff but pasta does not meet expectations. High prices for the quality of the dinner... it didn't convince me Response to owner: I was at your restaurant in November 2023. The dish of fettuccine with duck ragout was on the menu of the day, perhaps for this reason it may seem strange to you. Just as you wrote, I have the habit of writing down reviews of the places I travel to. Rather than responding arrogantly, he might pick up on the suggestions. There was no gratuitous malice in my review, I simply gave feedback on my dinner. If you expect to find only positive reviews, I advise you not to even read them. It's a shame because if there was one thing that made my evening pleasant it was the staff, but with this response he shows me that perhaps even they aren't friendly enough.

ottimo ristorante che propone piatti tradizionali rivisitati “con moderazione”. Un oasi speciale in una città dove mediamente il cibo fa schifo a causa dei turisti.

The hotel is in a perfect location, 3 minutes from the 'Rialto Bridge', on a very lively street, full of shops and restaurants. The room was comfortable and quiet, the bathroom very spacious. And everything very clean. The breakfasts, abundant, in the restaurant downstairs, "Taverna San Lio", with homemade cakes and various jams. Debora and Giuglio, charming, offered us another coffee every day, which was delicious! If we return to Venice, we will repeat! Thank you.

Our kind landlady recommended this restaurant to us, and we ere delighted with the meal we had here. Our kind waiter was also the owner, and he made us feel right at home in this modern dining room. The dishes were authentic and Venetian, he is not catering to tourists: he's just running a superb restaurant with delicious food and a high service level.
