We had just arrived in Venice and decided to stop for a drink on the way to the hotel. The restaurant next door greeted us with 'no, food only' so we stopped at San Lio to receive the warmest welcome. This place became our local stopping point for the duration of our stay. Genuinely friendly owner and staff and great food and drinks. He caters for locals and you can tell by the quality of the service and food. We will definitely be back. Thank you

Our hotel recommended the restaurant. What a recommendation! So good to find a reasonably priced restaurant with great food so close to St Mark’s Square. Guilio and Ricardo really care.

Food and service here were so exceptional I kept wanting to come back during our trip to Venice. The food is OUTSTANDING with very knowledgeable and helpful staff who even suggested menu changes for the two children my group was dining with. The squid ink cavatelli with yellow tomatoe sauce with fish was the best pasta I had while in venice bar none. The location is right along a busy thoroughfare but this is not tourist tratp. The food in venice can be hit or miss, but this place is a resounding hit worth stopping and eating at.

Passeggiando x Venezia abbiamo notato questo ristorantino che a differenza di molti non c’era l omino che cercava a tutti i costi di farti accomodare … infatti …. Accoglienza ottima , personale giovane e molto gentile , cibo ottimo e fresco !! Tutto curato nei dettagli … insomma 10+!!! Ci torneremo sicuramente!!!!!!!

12/08/2025: We have had better pizza in Italy, but it was good as well, quick, and good quality for the money.
11/08/2025: Old school pizza spot done to perfection! Crust is some of the best I’ve had, super thin and crisp but not dried out and with a depth of flavor I did not expect! Tried the classic cheese pie and it was well worth the walk from 20 minutes away (passing dozens of pizza places on the way)! About 4 or 5 Small old school bar chairs and a small ledge to stand or sit at one of the chairs and enjoy your pizza. No outdoor seating but it doesn’t matter, stand and eat or take it with you, either way it’s worth the visit!

09/08/2025: Not just snacks and drinks during the day, but also evening food service for a fantastic seaside dinner. The atmosphere, music, and quality are always top-notch.
