Taverna Ripetta In Roma

An authentic restaurant that we loved! Greeted by a little Dachshund, the pet of one of the ladies who runs the restaurant... So cute and unique. The wines are very reasonably priced, the food was delicious. There was a bit of a wait (the reason for the 4-star service rating), but it was worth it! A rather unassuming storefront, but a place to discover if you want to be immersed in a totally local and relaxed atmosphere! If I'm ever in Rome again, I'll definitely be back! (Make sure you book well ;-) ) Thanks!

GO HERE. By far the best meal we had in France or Italy, and probably somewhere in my top 5 all time. Tucked away, cozy spot, greeted at the door by the owner’s Dachshund, Mo, we felt at home immediately. Small, intimate, what I would imagine it should feel like at a genuine home-cooked local restaurant. The ambiance really set the tone, but the food blew the experience out of the water. The amatriciana was INCREDIBLE. My wife ordered their seafood pasta which now is one of her favorite meals she’s ever had. Chocolate pudding was the straw that almost broke our backs but worth it. So, so, so good, enough to make us go back tonight for our last meal in Rome. Don’t hesitate! They close around 10 but stop seating around 9ish because everything is made scratch.

Amazing Italian food in a small old styled tavern run by two lovely Italian ladies. We ordered seafood pasta and shrimp risotto and we were impressed ! Especially after we had really average food in Sicily in the same trip, the meal we had here was simply incomparable. Highly recommended!

The managers are kind, friendly but a bit intrusive. The first courses are good, the salad with melon and cuttlefish a bit less for the ingredients used (oil, salad and melon). The wine was warm and the bill so-so.

Absolutely recommended! The best carbonara we've ever eaten. The osso bucco and the wine were also a revelation. And to top it all off, you get a charming service team that makes your evening truly special!

This is such a great spot! The service and food were amazing, but what really makes this place is the environment. For being in such a touristy and busy area it offers a surprising sense of authenticity. One of my favorite spots in my 7 weeks of being in Italy. Definitely worth making a reservation here.

Très belle surprise, 2 vieilles dames charmantes et pittoresques. Un cadre simple et chaleureux. Une très bonne cuisine, une carte réduite mais appétissante. Un poulpe fantastique tout comme le tiramitsu. Effectivement, le prix du vin n'est pas indiqué mais la bouteille à 24€ pour un vin très correct. Bref, un bon moment.

“Non bisogna giudicare i libri dalla copertina” una frase famosa che invita a non giudicare dalle apparenze e della cui validità non ho mai dubitato. Questa sera ne ho avuto una ulteriore dimostrazione con la Taverna di Ripetta. Questa sera il ristorante che avevo scelto era pieno e, poiché era ormai tardi, ho scelto il locale più vicino all’hotel senza informarmi. Quando sono arrivato dinanzi al ristorante, piccolo e con un ingresso angusto, un menu’ con pochi piatti che non davano indizi sulla cucina ho pensato di aver sbagliato. E invece ho dovuto ricredermi prima per la gentilezza di Fatima, la padrona pronta ad accoglierti con un sorriso ed una gentilezza di stile orientale poi per la qualità dei piatti, semplici ma eseguiti con cura e materia prima di qualità. Davvero buona la insalata di seppie con melone e mandorle fresca e con un giusto equilibrio di sapori tra il dolce del melone e l’acidità del limone. Ottima anche la cacio e pepe così come la tagliata. Tra i dolci da segnalare il bonet piemontese forse appena meno morbido di quello tradizionale. Porzioni generose (l’insalata di seppie la abbiamo divisa in tre per finirla) carta dei vini semplice e prezzi adeguati
