Taverna Ripetta In Roma

The best restaurant in Rome, an extremely welcoming place and food I haven't found anywhere else in Rome… I'm from Brazil and I'll be back just to eat the best carbonara in the world again. (Special attention to Mo, the restaurant's special attraction) 🫶🏻

We simply loved having dinner here! The atmosphere is small and pleasant, and the service was friendly, both from the lady and the younger man who was there. But the best thing of all was the presence of Mo, a very sweet dachshund! We tried to go there one more time before leaving Rome, but unfortunately they were already closing. I almost cried with sadness. I hope to return soon to see Mo again ❤️

A tavern run by a Roman woman. Increasingly rare in Rome. You really feel like you're eating local food. All the dishes are delicious and authentic. The place is charming too.

It's nice to still find simple places, with traditional dishes and attention to the raw ingredients. I'll definitely be back.

This little taverna is full of character. We had a delicious meal with very good wine. It’s not a place for for brisk service, and they did bring us a cacio e pepe pasta instead of the carbonara we ordered but it is relaxed, friendly and comfortable.

The best restaurant in Rome. The four pastas, shrimp risotto and ravioli were all amazing. An authentic and cosy place with great service, large portions and good prices.

The food is spectacular, especially the octopus. At Taverna Ripetta, I had one of the best octopus dishes I've had in recent memory: tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I would definitely return for that dish alone. My companion had a steak served with arugula (I don't remember the exact name from the menu), which was also very well cooked. First, we shared prosciutto with melon and a glass of red wine. Everything was truly delicious, with no negative comments from the kitchen. The only thing that wasn't up to par was the service. It wasn't bad, but a bit disorganized. It's a very small place, maybe 15–20 seats, yet the two people serving seemed a bit confused: they were pacing back and forth, forgetting things, and taking their time clearing the table even when there were people waiting outside. I say this with full knowledge of the facts: I run a restaurant that seats 60 people and I know how important that detail is. That said, the quality of the food definitely outweighs any minor disorganization in the service. It's absolutely worth it. I'd go back for that octopus in a heartbeat.

Great food in a sweet little tavern. Better than any must-see restaurant I ate in Rome. Shrimp risotto and the pear tart of the day were unbelievable. Totally recommended!

Spectacular! A small, authentic place for 100% Italian food. The service was fantastic, and everything was delicious. We'll definitely come back if we return to Rome.
