A great discovery, especially the pizzas and their carbonara.

Exceptional pizza! If you like a crispy and thin top, go here! Generous portion at a decent price. For my taste it was the best experience in Italy. Kind, friendly and efficient staff. What was not to my taste was the small meal I ate. It's difficult for tall people, but not impossible. But this is specific to Italy. We will definitely come back and I highly recommend the experience!

This is my first time in Rome, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned so far, it’s that you can find a pizza place or gelateria on almost every street you wander down. Oddly enough, I was headed to Piccolo Buco, a popular destination near the Trevi Fountain, when I happened upon Taverne le Coppelle. I was already quite hungry and knew anywhere near Trevi was likely to be packed on a Sunday afternoon, then I stopped, glanced over, and there it was. All I can say is, I’m very happy I decided to stop in. Taverne le Coppelle is a charming little spot just a short walk from Piazza Navona, however, unlike restaurants on the Piazza, you won’t find yourself paying unreasonable prices for a meal here. I started off with an interesting variation on the classic bruschetta topped with a tasty mushroom paste. I then enjoyed some classic Roman thin-crust style pizza - diavola. It was delightfully light and crisp yet tender and full of flavor. I ended the meal with a cappuccino…I know Italians don’t typically have cappuccino after 11am, but well, I didn’t get up until after 11, and we don’t have good cappuccino in America 😉 The staff was very friendly and accommodating of our less-than-perfect Italian. They even gave me some little almond paste filled pastries for dessert free of charge. I took the leftovers from my pizza back to the Airbnb and have already reheated and finished it at the time of this writing. It was still good the second time around. All in all, it was an excellent experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for great pizza at a fair price.

I love the place I love the food was nice place to see

Food, service, atmosphere, wine, everything works here. The pub that impressed me the most. You can feel the family atmosphere, all the dishes: spaghetti, lasagna, gnochii, pizza - oh, delicious! Pizza is absolutely amazing!

Delicious and cheap Italian food. The waitresses were great and very friendly, especially Mercedes who went out of her way to ensure our satisfaction at all times. He spoke perfect Spanish and asked us several times if everything was okay. A great experience in a crowded Rome.
