I had dinner yesterday with my husband to celebrate a special occasion, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The experience begins well before you set foot in the restaurant; a valet will welcome you. Then comes the vegetable garden that the chef personally tends. Walk through it slowly and let the aromas of the herbs used in the kitchen fill your air. The tables set outside are beautiful; each guest has their own little corner of paradise. The same is true inside, with the open-view wine cellar, a majestic fireplace that creates a warm atmosphere in the winter months, and the beautiful open kitchen that allows you to watch the team at work. You will be looked after by various staff, all professional, friendly, and ready to guide you impeccably. We chose the "La Costa" menu, with primarily seafood-based dishes. What amazed me most was the chef's mastery, who manages to combine Italian and Eastern traditions. Technique marries aesthetics and flavor. A perfect blend! Each dish captivates all the senses. The flavors are bold, each dish has its own distinct soul, and every bite is an explosion of flavor. What more can I say about the wine list?! The selection is wide and varied, and there are some truly interesting gems. We had the opportunity to work in the kitchen with the chef, which is a magical experience for foodies! Chef Sposito immediately put us at ease, and it was wonderful to see how a dish is created, chatting with him, and he was eager to answer our questions and curiosities. If you're looking for an authentic experience that truly delivers, Taverna Estia won't disappoint. You'll find the hospitality, authenticity, and warmth of an authentic tavern, along with the best features a restaurant with two Michelin stars can offer. We hope Chef Sposito achieves his third star, and that his passion, technique, research, and approach to cooking will be further recognized.

I visited Taverna Estia for the first time in early May with my partner. I was immediately amazed by the beauty of the place: from the garden where they grow many aromatic herbs to the outdoor tables under the jasmine plants.
Inside, the intimate dining room has just a few tables and an open kitchen.
The staff demonstrated a unique level of hospitality you wouldn't expect, from the welcome outside, to the anecdotes about the restaurant's history, to the many culinary treats.
We opted for the "La Campagna" menu and were extremely satisfied. The service was precise but not overly formal, with clear explanations and excellent glasses of wine selected by the sommelier for the pairing. The aperitif was varied and with unique, ever-increasing flavors. The milk bubble literally explodes in your mouth. The bread service was rich, unlike anything we've ever seen in other Michelin-starred restaurants! The artichoke amazed us with its perfection in preparation and superlative flavor. And what about the spaghetti with papaccelle? Possibly the best first course we've ever had! For our second course, we had a perfect filet Wellington, enhanced by the mastery of the kitchen (tender and flavorful at the same time). And then...the final treat: a pre-dessert with sfogliatella and a delicious and refreshing pastiera. A spectacular dessert with miso coffee and buffalo milk gelato, and plenty of sweet pastries to finish.

One of my go-to places when I want to eat really well in the area. The cuisine is authentically Campanian, with dishes crafted with attention to detail and authentic flavors. The service is attentive and friendly, and you can sense the staff's passion. The atmosphere is welcoming and informal, ideal for a dinner with family or friends. Highly recommended.

An exceptional experience for a gourmet dinner with wine pairings. Everything was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully presented. The table in front of the chef is lovely, and there's also the option of sitting by the fireplace. On sunny days, you can dine in the garden, where lemon trees mingle with aromatic herbs.
The head waiter was outstanding, and the sommelier was delightful, inquisitive, and professional.
They were also kind enough to accommodate those who don't eat fish. The taxi ride from Naples takes about 20 minutes, except on Saturday evenings when it's 40 minutes.

It has two stars and deserves them all. The atmosphere is relaxing, the service impeccable. We were given a table overlooking the kitchen, which further enhanced the experience. The food is sublimely presented, with simple yet elevated flavors. The only downside is the wine pairing, which is sparse given the price and not as top-notch as you'd expect from a place like this. Prices are high, but in places like this, you know you're not just paying for what you eat, but also for the research, experience, and meticulous work they put into making everything impeccable. Highly recommended. Not every day, but definitely go for special occasions!
