Taverna del Vecchio Borgo In Massa marittima

We chose this place on the recommendation of local people to taste the Florentine, with very high expectations which, unfortunately, were only partially satisfied. We had dinner in the small room at the entrance, made up of a few tables and unfortunately not air conditioned (at least the evening we were there), so we suffered a bit from the heat. The service was excellent: the waitress was very attentive and courteous, really compliments! As anticipated, we decided to try the Florentine steak, a cut weighing approximately 1.5 kg. Although the cooking was PERFECT, the meat was very nervous and at times difficult to eat... We probably weren't lucky with the piece. The flavor was still great, a real shame. The starter, side dish and desserts, however, were really good! Very honest prices. I would like to recommend the place.

Characteristic place. Very varied menu, we had first courses (tortelloni and a truffle first course) and Fiorentina. All very good, attentive and quick service. To be repeated!

We had a nice table, even a little chaotic and confusing, and despite this they served us very well. Excellent food, honest prices. Well done, highly recommended.

I'm sure you can't find better in Massa Marittima. Perfect setting and dinner! Every dish is exquisite, especially those with truffles. Claudio (the owner) is very nice and a great professional of the trade, applause also goes to his wife for the delicious dishes cooked and for her kindness.

Ecco per noi la Taverna del Vecchio Borgo è quel luogo che ti fa sentire a casa iniziando dell'accoglienza per continuare con la simpatia dei proprietari. Professionalità, esperienza, passione per il proprio lavoro sono solo alcuni degli aggettivi che si possono usare. I piatti sono cucinati dalla chef Grazie con amore che sa trasferire in quei capolavori che deliziato il palato. Non è una cucina gourmet ma una cucina del cuore per la propria terra. L'ottima lista dei vini, sapientemente suggeriti dal proprietario Claudio, suggellano la sinfonia di sapori. Che altro dire se non di recarvi al più presto e iniziare un viaggio gustativo?
