Let's start by saying that the place is top-notch, quaint, and quiet.
The service was excellent, friendly, and very helpful!
Lunch for two: to start, we had the house appetizer, with various traditional hot and cold dishes, plus scrambled eggs with truffles.
Followed by two first courses: "carrati with ragù" and "chitarra with saffron and truffle."
Two glasses of house wine.
The bread was particularly good.
And to finish, a dessert with pistachios and licorice and two coffees, accompanied by some sweets, kindly offered by them.
EVERYTHING SPECTACULAR!!! Delicious, delicious.
We will definitely be back.

One of the few places where you can enjoy delicious Abruzzo cuisine.
The first courses are a must, and then you absolutely must try the spectacular local lamb.
I strongly advise you not to order the menu and instead ask the owner for advice!

In the Sulmona area, there are several villages, particularly Pacentro with its narrow streets and castle. You'll also find the Taverna de li Caldora, a historic restaurant. The interior dining room is charming, and the veranda overlooks Sulmona. All the dishes are delicious, the house wine is excellent, and the desserts are also delicious. Carmine is extremely courteous, supported by the friendly and prompt service of the dining room staff.

Roast lamb is good! But a historic restaurant like this, so award-winning and renowned, can't maintain its reputation with roast lamb... That's what you eat in every tavern in Abruzzo anyway! And the rest of the menu? Better to forget it... Chef Cannavacciuolo is definitely needed here.
