An unexpected surprise.
We weren't planning on having lunch in a restaurant and by pure chance we found ourselves at the Taverna dei Caldora, just because it was the only one with available seats.
Very particular location and beautiful veranda overlooking the valley.
The very attentive and kind owner offered us a trio of first courses to try more things and it was all excellent.
I absolutely recommend.

I have eaten in this place many times and I must say that the food is good, typical Abruzzo dishes, I recommend truffle guitar, pasta with lamb ragout and lamb cheese and eggs, the wine list is excellent, the location is wonderful with 2 rooms, one of which has a view of the valley, average prices.

La Caldora is the temple of hospitality and good food. Mr. Carmine is a formidable host, attentive and kind towards the customer.
We delighted in various appetizers and a triptych of first courses, including: tagliolini with black truffle, sagne with bacon and pecorino, and pappardelle with mushrooms. Someone also tasted a very tasty Marro.
The wine? A Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from organic grapes that will be remembered.

Nonostante avessimo prenotato quando siamo arrivati il nostro tavolo era già stato assegnato ad altre persone. È una cosa inammissibile segno di poca professionalità. Comunque alla fine abbiamo cominciato a mangiare alle 15 è tutto sommato si mangia bene però, dopo questo inconveniente, non ci torneremo più. Cercate di essere più precisi e attenti con la clientela.

Uovo con tartufo come antipasto che lascia senza parole. Ricottina calda, fagioli, insalata di funghi, agnello… giro di antipasti che potrebbe bastare come pasto. Anche i primi sono buonissimi ed abbondanti. Buoni vini abruzzesi. Gentilezza e competenza dello staff
