Excellent restaurant, probably one of the best in the area. The dishes are high-quality (though I would have expected larger portions, especially the pasta dishes). The view from the terrace is absolutely enchanting. However, honestly, looking at menus from a few years ago, I'd say the variety of dishes has diminished and the prices have gone up significantly. If I were to return to the area with my family, I'd opt for other restaurants with more choice and a more affordable quality/price ratio.

My girlfriend and I went for lunch on August 16th. We chose the €50 menu, which included a starter of your choice, all the appetizers on the menu, a sampling of two first courses each, a second course of your choice, and a dessert of your choice. In addition to dessert, they also brought a ratafia with a sampling of cantucci and crostata. The price included a bottle of wine, water, bread, and a service charge. For two, we paid €100 and left practically rolling full and satisfied. The service was very friendly, and the owner was a wonderful and kind person.

The food is top quality! The best is when you can eat with a view of the Peligna valley.
My favorites are the eggs with truffles and the marinated lamb. Incredible! Oh yes and their chicory side dish is some of the best. Don’t miss the desserts. Service is good.

There are no words to describe the best of Abruzzo cuisine for those who love and recognize home-cooked dishes like they used to be. The service, I think, was exceptionally courteous and friendly. We ate, in fact, a selection of I don't know how many appetizers and several haute cuisine first courses. A memorable place, in a historic setting with a beautiful panoramic view.

Last Thursday, on the precious advice of some acquaintances, we were coming from Rome and headed towards Campo di Giove, so we decided to detour through Sulmona to treat ourselves to lunch at Taverna de li Caldora.
A choice that proved to be more than spot on.
The inn, deliberately discreet and devoid of flashy signs, is a hidden gem in the heart of Pacentro. The historic building exudes an authentic atmosphere reminiscent of times gone by.
The quality of the products is truly excellent. The dishes convey the authentic flavor of Abruzzo tradition, with fresh, carefully selected ingredients. The grilled lamb melted in the mouth, while the sagnette with sheep's milk ricotta were rich in character and expertly balanced.
The service deserves special praise: attentive, courteous, and never intrusive. The staff proved extremely attentive, with a courtesy that is not only professional, but profoundly human.
Making it all the more enjoyable is the location: overlooking the Peligna Valley, it offers a splendid panorama that pleasantly complements the meal.
A lunch that lived up to high expectations; if you're looking for an authentic experience, far from the tourist circuits and full of soul, this is the place. A well-deserved five stars!

Carmine, el propietario, te entretendrá con anécdotas sobre la historia que completarán la experiencia. Es imprescindible si estás visitando el bonito borgo de Pacentro

Primera vez verano de 2024. Cuarta vez, marzo de 2025. Compramos lo que podemos y organizamos múltiples cursos. Nunca decepcionado, elija el vino adecuado y está extremadamente satisfecho con los diversos platos. Management y Sever, todo bien hecho. Cuando visitamos nuestro lugar aquí nuestro objetivo es venir un par de veces a la semana. Cocina casera de los Abruzos hecha bien.
