Comfortable restaurant, traditional cuisine, good wine selection, attentive service

On a mid-August day, we had the pleasure of lunch at Al Cairoli, a little gem in the heart of Ravenna. The experience was simply wonderful. The service, personally supervised by the owner, was distinguished by its impeccable courtesy and kindness. The attention to raw ingredients is evident in every dish. The menu celebrates the traditions of Romagna and Emilia, with dishes that showcase the region through authentic flavors and elegant presentations: we sampled an excellent eggplant parmigiana, cappelletti in brodo (excellent even in August), and a refined vegetable millefeuille. Special mention for the desserts: trifle and sweet cappelletti in raspberry broth, where creativity and tradition blended in a surprising way. We can't wait to return in warmer temperatures to try "e Caplèt," the famous cappelletti-shaped chocolates they invented and patented.

If you choose wine by the glass they have €8 and €10 glass. Best to know the price up front so no surprises.

Last night we ate at this restaurant in the center of Ravenna. We had cheeses with jams (excellent, top-quality cheeses) and two different first courses: tagliatelle with rabbit ragù and pasta stuffed with classic ragù, both sublime. For dessert, the plum tart... spectacular, the jam is homemade... (that says it all). The place is very beautiful and well-kept, the owner is kind, friendly, and available to answer any questions or requests. The bill was fair, perhaps a little low for the passion they put into it. CONGRATULATIONS, we'll definitely be back.

A pleasant dinner for four, in a refined setting. The "Petroniana" and meatballs were much appreciated, and Fabiano's wine selection was particularly recommended.
