Best carbonara I have ever had. When I come back to Rome, I will take whomever I am with here. I may even come back for it again before I leave during this trip! Jewel was amazing as our server.

Lobster appetizer, tomahawk ribeye, and fabulous bottle of wine recommended by our sommelier Rino was excellent. Best meal we had in Rome and service was excellent by Jenel. Oh and the limoncello!!! Favalosa!!

Taverna Agàpe is a true gem and has become our favorite spot for a reason. As a regular, I can attest that it's the perfect place for both elegant dinners and relaxed gatherings with friends and family. The seafood is the real star here—it's fresh and expertly prepared. The ambience is another highlight; it's elegant yet comfortable, making it a great choice for important events. We always prefer to sit inside to fully appreciate the beautiful setting. While the service can be a bit slow at times, we actually find this to be a positive, as it encourages conversation and a leisurely pace between courses. It's an excellent place to unwind. The wine selection is fantastic, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking for fresh seafood, a great atmosphere, and a lovely dining experience.

A lovely restaurant in a charming neighborhood. Lovely terrace and extensive menu. We had a delicious meal, and the service was excellent (better than most restaurants in Rome).

I stumbled upon Taverna Agàpe while wandering alone through a busy, touristy area of Rome. To my surprise, it turned out not to be a tourist trap at all, but a true gem — likely thanks to higher prices that reflect the quality. From start to finish, everything was excellent. I began with a Parma ham and buffalo mozzarella plate — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly moist. For my main, I chose tonnarelli alla gricia (think of it as thick homemade spaghetti, similar to carbonara without the egg, or a cacio e pepe enriched with guanciale). Absolutely delicious. I finished with a coffee affogato, which was simply perfect. To top it all off, when I asked for the bill, I was offered a complimentary limoncello shot with an amaretto-style almond cookie — a thoughtful touch that made the experience even better. If you’re into seafood, the maître personally brings the daily selection (fish, lobster, crabs) to the table for you to choose, which is a real sign of freshness and quality. Service was attentive, the food superb, and the location truly beautiful. I’ll definitely return when I’m back in Rome.

We had such a great dinner and experience at Taverna Agape! The food was absolutely amazing. We recommend the amatriciana, carbonara and caccio e peppe. They even had gluten free options available. Ostere and Andrea were so sweet and funny. They kept us laughing all night and made us feel like family. We would highly recommend!

We were greeted by Oreste he immediately made us feel welcome and Andrea gave us such a wonderful experience! The food was amazing only outdone by they were welcoming nature! I Would highly recommend to anyone who wants an excellent meal and experience!

The square in which this restaurant is located is not far from the Pantheon and is popular with tourists. We booked in advance and had an enjoyable meal. Recommended.

Recomiendo encarecidamente el wellington de carne! Con bebidas Coste 160 euros. Gran servicio, personal amable. Lo recomendaría!
