Excellent food, welcoming service

What to say about this place... unthinkable. Magnificent location, the Taverna Agape is a pearl inserted in the city context of Rome, in a beautiful little square a stone's throw from Piazza Navona. Do you go there for the beauty of the place? It is certainly very pleasant, but the difference is made by a very attentive and helpful staff, never oppressive or insistent, but above all by a food and a cellar of the highest level. The research of the owner, Pietro, who is practically a guru on wines, was appreciated, and the advice on the dishes was also important. Quality raw materials and a more than satisfactory value for money. I will definitely return, for the starters, for the first courses, for the second courses and for everything, but if there is one thing I liked it is that I finally found a sincere, Roman situation, not the usual tourist-eating decoy of our historic center. Service: ok Food: overpriced tiramisu and cappuccino ( I paid the same amount at Rinascente rooftop bar, which have better view and taste, obviously) , I paid for bread that we didn’t even ask for (usually other restaurants give them for free before meal).

A group of friends, on their Sunday walk, relied on the restaurant, which is located in a small square along Via dei Coronari. A delicious lunch, with tastings of Roman-style and Jewish-style artichokes, saltimbocca and fried calamari... Outdoor dining, fast and very courteous service.

The location is very nice, in the center but not in the middle of the confusion. The heated veranda even in winter allows you to enjoy the outside. The food is really delicious: exceptional artichoke alla giudia, gricia among the best eaten (and I'm Roman), very soft lamb and even the baked potatoes which are fried are of high quality Desserts also of a high standard. Generous and very seasoned portions. The price is high but honest for what you eat in the center.

He comido dos noches hasta ahora, planeo comer aquí pronto de nuevo. Absolutamente fabuloso, el tienen excelente comida (elegido de la tabla en la pared, tomar las recomendaciones de los camareros) verde fresco y pescado / mest de la temporada. No se puede mejorar, y media botella de buen vino cuando viajas solo, digo bravo
