2025 update, as good as ever! UPDATE. I was in Roma last weekend in the sweltering heat and stopped here for lunch. We had spaghetti with clams (one of my all time fave dishes) and as usual the service, food and drink as well as the value for money were all EXCELLENT. Tnaks guys. Years ago I lived in this area of Roma and I would eat here from time to time. The two brothers are always smiling and friendly and the food and service always REALLY good. I visited Roma last weekend and we decided to visit for a Sunday lunch. We sat outside and took a drink with a bruschetta while we waited for the food. My pasta was EXCELLENT and my son had meat which he told me was also really good. With drinks we paid 46 Euro and I think that represents great value. Thanks guys!!!

An old-fashioned neighborhood pizzeria, I'm so happy that places like this still exist, informal places where you can feel comfortable and enjoy the food properly. I think it's a historic place in the African Quarter. It also has tables on the heated patio. Inside, it's a nice dining room, and it was packed even on a weekday, a sign that this place is very good and well-known. Fair prices and very friendly staff. We had an appetizer of mixed seafood, which was good. Some of the fried foods were probably frozen, but they were well-cooked and delicious. The thin, Roman-style pizza was very good. I had a white pizza with onion and zucchini. To drink, I had a draft beer, I think it was a Peroni Rossa. The only problem is parking. The African Quarter is a very densely populated area, and finding parking is a challenge. I took the bus, so I had no problems, so if you can, use public transportation—the Libia Metro B1 stop is just steps away—or a motorcycle or bicycle. Anyway, Taverna Abruzzese is 👍👍 I recommend it.

We dined with a group of about 30 people from a pre-arranged menu. The dishes were excellent, the radicchio risotto was truly delicious. The quality/price ratio was good. The kindness of the staff made everything even more enjoyable.

All good, we've been going there for years and they've never missed a beat. It's €2 or €3 more than you'd expect on the bill per person, but overall, everything's fine. Attentive and courteous service, the owners are always friendly and helpful. We do miss Roberto and his jokes a bit.

I often return to this restaurant. Excellent food. Welcoming and comfortable location. But the real highlight is the owner and his mother. Wonderful and kind people who love their work and pamper their customers. Highly recommended.

Excellent cuisine, friendly, welcoming service. I recommend the cacio e pepe, and the porcini mushrooms are amazing!
