Very good food at reasonable prices and the seafood is excellent

A pleasant discovery! Fresh fish and carefully prepared dishes. The cuttlefish alla poverella deserves a special mention: truly delicious and flavorful. We also appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, always kind and attentive. A place where you eat well and feel welcomed. We'll gladly return!

The highlight of our trip to Puglia—we returned twice! We dined at Taverna a Mare twice during our week in Puglia last July, and it was undoubtedly one of the best dining experiences of our trip. The food was authentic and extraordinary—the kind of cuisine that reminds you why everyone raves about Puglia's cuisine. What really made it special, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and our waiter Angelo went above and beyond—joking with our teenage children and offering recommendations that truly guided us to the best dishes on the menu. It's rare to find a place where the hospitality is as good as the cuisine, but Taverna a Mare excels at both. If you're traveling with family (or not!), don't miss this place. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Puglia.

Taverna a Mare was one of the highlights of our trip to Puglia. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was incredible and made us feel more like family than customers. The food was outstanding—fresh, authentic, and clearly prepared with care—but what truly made our experience special were Mauro and Pierro, Their warmth, energy, and genuine love for people create an atmosphere that is impossible to forget. Every meal felt like an experience rather than just dinner. The setting is beautiful, the service is exceptional, and the passion behind everything they do shines through in every detail. If you’re anywhere near Carovigno, Taverna a Mare is absolutely worth the visit. We can’t wait to return someday. Thank you for making our time in Italy so memorable.
