TAO In Verona

A la carte sushi dinner for two, impeccable service and hospitality, very nice atmosphere. Good-quality fish and sake. Highly recommended! The only flaw: the quality/price ratio isn't great, in my opinion.

I expected more. I don't often treat myself to places with similar budgets, but on special occasions we do, and we also expect a certain level of quality. The dishes were good, well-presented, and original, but I didn't have a wow factor with anything. Everything was good, but comparing it to all-you-can-eat restaurants, I've had even better. But I think the biggest disappointment was the service. They forgot to take our order, they forgot a dish, they left our cocktail glasses empty until the end of the meal, and they took away my serving plate without replacing it. The place was nice, but the tables were very close together, and with the restaurant still empty, they almost wanted to seat us right in front of the door. So many oversights that if the bill for two of us is €123, I'm sorry, but I can't ignore it. At that price, I expect more.

The place is very beautiful, colorful, and has a nice atmosphere. The staff is polite, and the Japanese beers are okay. It's obviously not an AYCE restaurant, and it shouldn't be: if the prices are higher, that's fine, but I expect the quality to be commensurate with the cost. I ordered a Sapporo, four belly nigiri, and the Thai chicken. Sapporo: okay, a can, fair price. Brown belly nigiri: this is the biggest disappointment. Having lived in Japan for a month, I know the cut well: the fat is essential to calling it "belly." Unfortunately, it wasn't on the plate, so it didn't match the description or the asking price. Thai chicken: delicate and good, but nothing memorable. I also tried a friend's uramaki, and honestly, it's AYCE-level. Overall: nice place, but high prices that don't reflect the quality described on the menu. Aesthetics aren't everything, and I don't think I'll be back.

Terrific sushi place, perfectly located just couple of blocks from the city center, this urban-chick place offers quite good selection of sushi, original and savory combinations. The service is superb and the ambient is quite chill, definitely a place to revisit

Excellent sushi! I tried the tuna and salmon tacos (delicate and super fresh), the Thai roll that surprised me with the mix of flavors, and a tuna tartare with avocado that was simply perfect. The tuna and salmon sashimi was also well cut and melted in the mouth. Among the rolls, I recommend the Ebi Flo and the Rosso Mediterraneo: both original and well-balanced. Nice place, friendly service. High prices, but in line with the quality.

An unexpected and wonderful culinary experience. I guarantee a complete triumph, as the food is magnificent, as is the service. Good air conditioning for hot days, and they speak Spanish, which helps you choose your dishes. Everything was perfect.

The best sushi restaurant I've ever been to. Delicate and balanced flavors. Fish of the highest quality and refinement. I am often in Verona for work and usually I dedicate myself to restaurants of typical cuisine, but for reasons of diet I could not overdo the boiled meat and pearà. Recommended by a colleague I went to this place a few steps from my apartment in the center. I frequent high-level Japanese cuisine restaurants in Rome, but I have never found a quality of this kind. The balance that is given to each taste with the wise use of herbs and citrus fruits makes the experience incredible. I will always return to them when I am in Verona!
