If you're looking for the usual "tourist" cuisine, or one overly adapted to Western palates, you're in the wrong place. If, however, you're seeking the spicy and vibrant soul of India, this restaurant is a rare gem. ​As soon as you step inside, you're enveloped by the intoxicating aroma of cardamom and cumin, anticipating the experience. The decor is elegant and thoughtful, far removed from cliché, with soft lighting that creates an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.

A lovely find in Finale Ligure. We love Italian food, but after a few days we start craving the comfort of Indian flavours - and Taj Mahal was exactly right. The food felt wonderfully homemade, the mixed dal fry was wholesome with veggies, and the biryani was light The owner/manager was warm and welcoming, and it was such a relief to find genuinely good Indian food in a small Ligurian town.

A beautiful restaurant, very nicely decorated. The food is delicious, aromatic, and fresh. I highly recommend it. I can honestly say that one portion was enough for two of us.

First time at this restaurant. We stopped for lunch, and I must say we enjoyed it. The aromas and flavors were typical Indian. We'll definitely be back!
