The food was AMAZING! I came here with my family and we ordered a lot of food, the highlight was Chicken Tandoori and the Butter Chicken. Perfectly cooked & served.

Taj Mahal is centrally located just a short walk for the centre of town. No reservation was required on a Wednesday evening. The host was very welcoming and provided guidance as to various menu items. The atmosphere was inviting and charming. Food was good and not spicy. Quantities were adequate. I would recommend.

My husband and I are just reminiscing on when we used to live in Chiavari 4 years ago and just how good the food was here, we ordered from here nearly every week. We have yet to find an Indian restaurant that lives up to this one and miss the food a lot! Especially the chickpea curry and the butter chicken. Lovely food and very lovely staff/owner ☺️

We were very surprised by the polite, attentive, and respectful staff. The food was good, spicy, and carefully selected. The wine was also excellent. At the end, they offered us Indian rum, which was very satisfying.

16/07/2026: Let me start by saying that the food is delicious and the atmosphere is truly beautiful. The only reason I gave it a 4 is the owner's lack of willingness to explain the dishes. I mean, he's very reserved for someone like me who likes to know what the ethnic dishes I order taste like. But maybe I asked too many questions, I don't know. Anyway, we'll be back.
26/06/2026: Authentic Indian food with a unexpected twist of 'lemon rice' which was delicious. Plenty of Gluten free options, a good drinks list and reasonable prices.

28/05/2026: One of the best Indian restaurants. After being here for a almost a week I started craving for Indian food. Read a few reviews for this place and it turned out exactly how it’s rated. I had Veg Biryani and Matar Paneer and it tasted like a homemade meal. I visited again next day The owner is Mr Taj and he oversees everything personally and is also involved in the kitchen.
