Let me start by saying that the food is delicious and the atmosphere is truly beautiful. The only reason I gave it a 4 is the owner's lack of willingness to explain the dishes. I mean, he's very reserved for someone like me who likes to know what the ethnic dishes I order taste like. But maybe I asked too many questions, I don't know. Anyway, we'll be back.

Authentic Indian food with a unexpected twist of 'lemon rice' which was delicious. Plenty of Gluten free options, a good drinks list and reasonable prices.

We ordered lamb biryani, I'd give it 4 out of 5. Chicken masala, 4 out of 5. Garlic bread and cheese bread, 5 out of 5. Black Pani, 4 out of 5. Yellow rice, 5 out of 10. The food was delicious, honestly, I recommend it.

An excellent experience at Shapla. The Indian cuisine is truly delicious: exquisite dishes, well-prepared and rich in flavor, with well-balanced spices and intense yet balanced flavors. The staff was very kind and helpful, especially in helping with the selection of dishes, which I really appreciated. The restaurant is quiet, making it suitable for a dinner where you want to chat quietly and enjoy the atmosphere. One small caveat: if you're assigned a table near the entrance, you might feel a little cold during dinner. Overall, a place I'd happily recommend.

The butter chicken was terrible, the naan bread was good, but the price was outrageous. A small bowl of butter chicken cost 10 euros, and an adult male would need at least two bowls to barely feel full…

28/06/2026: Best Indian restaurant I've ever been to. The owners are incredibly kind and the food is impeccable.
28/05/2026: One of the best Indian restaurants. After being here for a almost a week I started craving for Indian food. Read a few reviews for this place and it turned out exactly how it’s rated. I had Veg Biryani and Matar Paneer and it tasted like a homemade meal. I visited again next day The owner is Mr Taj and he oversees everything personally and is also involved in the kitchen.
