Nice restaurant, very good and well-made food. Friendly staff and fairly fast service. The "all you can eat" option is also interesting.

A decent Indian restaurant, fairly in line with Bologna's moderately high average for this type of cuisine. They also offer an all-you-can-eat option, which is almost certainly better than the à la carte option. Service is quick (except for the first course) and served with kindness, although one of the waiters didn't speak a word of Italian. The menu is rather limited. Overall, it's decent, and it's possible, as I've been told, that it's the best Indian restaurant in Bologna, but it's certainly not a national favorite, as their marketing suggests.

Top dishes, top setting, super top service

I'm not from Bologna, but from the province of Reggio Emilia, and I often go to TAJ MAHAL for good, traditional Indian food. The meat is delicious, well-seasoned with original spices, and the bread is baked in the tandoori oven, all freshly prepared. The place is quaint and relaxing, with fast, always welcoming service. Stop by, you won't regret it.

I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend, and he confirmed that the food was not only authentic but the most authentic he’s had in all of Italy. We’re visiting from Rimini and both agreed that this place is worth the trip to Bologna just for the food alone. We ordered Murg Kofta, Seekh Kebab, Mango Lassi, and Kheer. Each dish was incredibly flavorful and well-prepared. The Murg Kofta was rich and aromatic, and the Seekh Kebabs were perfectly spiced and juicy. The Mango Lassi was fresh and smooth, and the Kheer had just the right sweetness and texture. We also really appreciated the three sauces served with the starter snacks! Each one was distinct, bold, and clearly homemade. The service was efficient and friendly, and the overall experience was excellent. This review is for a visit in 1997. I lived a few steps from this restaurant and that was my first encounter with Indian cuisine, which almost 30 years later remains my favorite.

Place is really beautiful and service is excellent. They have all you can eat options where you can order multiple dishes. They even offer to make something for you if not in menu. Had mutton curry, butter chicken, chicken tikka and garlic naan. Really good experience
