Watch out for the price of desserts! Good quality cuisine, friendly staff, relatively pleasant surroundings and general normal prices. However, the portions of the dishes are quite small. If you are hungry, they may not be enough. Finally, pay attention to the price of desserts!!! We ordered 2 desserts, but only after leaving the restaurant did we check the bill. We paid 15 euros for each dessert, which was good but small. So we spent 30 euros just for dessert! It is absolutely not worth that price and is clearly a steal! Too bad, but we won't go back again.

A few days of holiday in Sardinia at the end of December... We arrive in Oristano at lunch time. We find the Ta Matete restaurant by chance. I ate culurgiones for the first time... wonderful experience!!!!!! We will remember it for a long time!!

I originally planned to have a cheese platter, but it turned out that it was not available for lunch, only for dinner... I ordered octopus salad, which cost 2 euros for water and 2 euros for bread. I don’t recommend it. It’s expensive.

Pleasant setting but... Zuppa very very spicy or even inedible yet we don't usually fear it. 20 minutes to have the second course, yet having a view of the kitchens we can't say that they were very busy... The swordfish only tasted like the grill on which it was cooked 😡 Very disappointed, we do not recommend

Nice place with very polite personnel.the kitchen is open so you can see inside, they looked very professional.we got an octopus salad,the traditional culurgiones and the grilled fish. The first two were excellent however the fish wasn't good at all..like it was grilled in a dirty pan and had a very bad taste..additioanlly I think that the portion and qualify were quite low for the price of this dish.i hope that this was just an unlikely moment because apart from that the place was good

Superlativo. Antipasti con cozze e vongole ottime, a seguire i migliori culirgiones mangiati. Cucina a vista, ragazze in sala che si danno da fare e molto cortesi, buona scelta di vini. Non c’è stato posto per il dolce, peccato! Unica pecca, il tovagliolo di carta, ecco, quello davvero lo eviterei. Nel complesso molto consigliato, consiglio prenotazione. (Volevamo tornarci a pranzo il giorno seguente ma purtroppo era chiuso)!

12/02/2025: Attentive and kind staff. The pumpkin soup with smoked mullet and bottarga is excellent and could become a "very very" interesting first course. And what about the landscape: 🌞 The sun shone on the #Cabras pond, while my eyes got lost in its reflections. The water, still as a mirror, reflected the sky, creating a landscape of disarming beauty. In that magical place, where time seemed to stop, my mind began to wander, transporting me to a distant world, made up of ancient stories and centuries-old traditions. And this is how the story of a wise and hard-working fisherman, inextricably linked to his land and his pond, was born. 📝 🛶 This man, whose name I don't know, was a fisherman of few words, but his eyes told of his passion for fishing and his love for the Cabras pond. He knew every corner of that enchanted place, every secret of its waters, every creature that inhabited it. His boat, an old wooden friend, glided on the water with a gentle movement, guided by the expert hands of the fisherman. The nets, cast with care, caught the fish that would become the gold of Cabras: the #bottarga. A precious treasure, with a unique and unmistakable flavour, which this man kept with pride. 🎣 ✨️ Bottarga is a special product, obtained from mullet eggs. The eggs are extracted from the fish, washed, salted, pressed and dried; these steps, expertly carried out by expert hands, are fundamental to giving the characteristic and unmistakable taste to the Cabras bottarga. 💫 🐟 For the fisherman, the bottarga was a symbol of his land, his people, his history. It was the fruit of patient and passionate work, handed down from generation to generation. It was a gift from nature, a treasure to be protected and enhanced. Every day, the fisherman went out to sea with his companions to throw their nets into the pond. It was tiring work, but he did it with love, aware of preserving an ancient tradition. One evening, while returning home with his boat loaded with fish, the fisherman stopped to contemplate the sunset over the pond. The sky was tinged with a thousand colors, from fiery red to golden orange, creating a breathtaking spectacle. The fisherman was enchanted by such beauty, thinking how lucky he was to live in such a wonderful place. He felt grateful for the gift of nature, for the richness of the sea, and understood that his task was to preserve the fishing tradition, to protect the pond and to pass on ancient knowledge to young fishermen. 🗯 🗣 The sun was now high when my thoughts returned to reality, my time here was over. Leaving the pond, a certainty accompanied me: I wanted to be a witness to the world, a keeper of stories, a disseminator of knowledge. Because knowledge is a precious asset, a treasure to be shared with everyone.🗺 🎒🚶‍♂️‍➡️And so, with a mind full of expectations, I resumed my journey, ready to discover the wonders of the world and tell them to anyone who would listen. 🧭 🤗
