A friend of mine and I went to this restaurant yesterday for lunch. It was both our first time at an Indian restaurant. I really appreciated the ability to browse the menu online, allowing me to study the options the night before and arrive prepared. The place is bright, colorful, and welcoming, and with the Indian music playing in the background, you immediately feel the Orient. A smiling and very kind lady welcomes us. Along with the menu, she also brings us a welcome snack of light, crispy wafers accompanied by three sauces: mint, spicy, and sweet and sour. I'm not a fan of the mint one, but the others are excellent with the following courses. You can choose from the menu or choose the weekday lunch and tasting menu option. We opt for various dishes from the menu to share and try. We choose the mixed appetizer...and there's no better way to start: fried foods and samosas are very good and tasty, highly recommended! We continue with the Kashmiri biryani; we don't really smell the roses, but it's a tasty and flavorful rice. It's time for the main courses with sides: til jhinga and chicken tikka accompanied by bengan bartha. We also order bread, alu naan, and garlic naan. I'm not entirely convinced by the first course, but the second course, along with the side dish, is truly delicious! We drink hot, spiced, unsweetened tea, excellent with these tasty dishes and aiding digestion... We finish with coconut barfi and gulab jamun. The first courses are fresh, not too sweet sweets, while the second courses are warm, very sweet balls. The complimentary digestif is unique, with spices and sweets... a treat to end an excellent lunch. Time stood still, we enjoyed every new flavor immersed in a lovely, warm, and friendly atmosphere. We'll definitely be back; it truly is a gateway to India... a taste journey worth trying again and again...

My parents and I have been regulars at Swagat since they still had a restaurant in Novi Ligure. The restaurant has been in Alessandria for years now, and the food has always been delicious and high-quality, and the owners and staff have always been wonderful, kind, and attentive. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and you feel like you've been transported to India! They also organize themed evenings, with traditional dancing while you dine, and the experience is truly captivating! We've traveled extensively, and on each trip we've tried an Indian restaurant, but none have won us over like Swagat. We always come back with pleasure and always leave with a smile! Thank you ❤️

Always happy to return, always satisfied. The restaurant is beautiful and well-kept, the staff very kind and courteous. I love India and I'm a vegetarian, so I can find everything here. Their samosas are a cosmic delight.

I've been to Swagat many times. The food is always excellent and the service is really good. We've become family! The prices are more than reasonable; for €20, you'll be more than full. It's not as spicy as you might think, and it's suitable for all palates!
