Shades of beauty hidden in the behavior of human beings that destiny offers me the gift of meeting.
And secret emotions that seem tiny and yet instantly become inexorable and absolutely necessary for the well-being that everyone expects for themselves every single day, to say to themselves that YES that will be a SPECIAL DAY; here, yes, I try to decipher, also on behalf of those who will read this opinion of mine, all those invisible revelations that give meaning to our being in the world, and that agree to reveal themselves only to those who insist and resist in the search for beauty, stubbornly and without respite with a hunger for humanity that does not allow lapses in passion.
And above all I am writing this review dedicated to a simple and special place, and in its own way secluded from the tingle saturated with noise and vitality that characterizes that stretch of Via Appia Nuova that passes through Piazza dei Re di Roma and runs straight to the Colli Albani metro stop.
This truly perfect bar and pastry shop to start a new day with a tasty breakfast made of classic cappuccinos and espressos but also a sumptuous variety of very fresh and crunchy high quality desserts such as Danishes, croissants and pinwheels - filled with chocolate, raisins , pistachio, or honey, custard, and white chocolate and walnuts, - it's called IL DUETTO and is open from 6.00 am in Via Circonvallazione Appia, 1a.
This place struck me immediately because it has the special magic of transmitting a clear sensation of calm and balance to the customers of the moment already sitting at the tables in the internal room even when - as ALWAYS every morning - it is full of other customers waiting patiently and in an orderly manner. to receive the foods required to compose the perfect breakfast according to everyone's intimate desires.
But to obtain such a high standard professional result you need three very rare qualities pushed to the highest possible level, which is why I like to give my FIVE STAR approval to KINDNESS, COMPETENCE and extreme DEDICATION to the work and meticulous care of each individual customer expressed every single day by Mr. PAOLO, and by the kind ladies SARA and NICOLE, his precise and smiling collaborators at the coffee and pastry counter.
But I also like to point out that the breakfast break here at the IL DUETTO bar takes on an even more special dimension for anyone who is a lover and lover of good reading, thanks to the possibility of sitting for as long as you deem appropriate and choosing a novel or an essay never read before from the shelves of the internal room, - perhaps even in a very rare edition and published in the past decades, - and in the meantime having the possibility of leaving one's smartphone to charge at one of the electrical sockets generously made available to the customers of passage from the ownership of the BAR and PASTICCERIA IL DUETTO.
