Sumire is one of those low-key gems you stumble upon and instantly feel at ease. The setting is cozy, spotless, and elevated by the kindness of the staff. We sampled a wide range of dishes—from sashimi and spring rolls to tempura, curry rice, and mochi. The standout was without doubt the polpette di polpo, perfectly balanced and full of flavour. The curry, on the other hand, fell flat for me—quite bland compared to the rest. The sashimi was decent, the cucumber with sesame oil refreshingly simple, and the mango mochi a sweet highlight to end on. Even the tableware felt thoughtfully chosen.

This is a great place if you want to eat well and enjoy a friendly atmosphere. The space is very spacious, well-lit, and has a warm atmosphere. There's a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and there's even a very nice menu with recommendations for that day. We had: octopus balls in dashi sauce, curry rice with fish, an omelette, and two other dishes whose names I unfortunately don't remember. All were excellent, well-balanced, light yet flavorful; these are served on very unique and scenic plates. The service is fantastic; the gentleman who served us was very friendly and entertaining, yet very knowledgeable about the dishes. In fact, he explained to us how to eat the balls in dashi sauce. I highly recommend it.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in Milan!
We've been frequenting this place for many years, and each time it confirms its exceptional quality. I came here for the first time thanks to some Japanese friends—and that says a lot about the quality and authenticity of the cuisine.
The owner is Japanese, an incredibly kind and welcoming person, who gives the place a special atmosphere of warmth and hospitality.
The food is always fresh and very tasty—authentic Japanese cuisine, without compromise.
I highly recommend booking in advance—it's a very popular place, and rightfully so!
I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese restaurant in Milan!

Pleasant dining atmosphere in the heart of Moscova, Milan. The food quality is fine: fresh ingredients and well-presented dishes. However, the portion sizes are quite small, especially considering the pricing.
We ordered three dishes (as shown in the photos) and a bottle of water, and the total came to over €50. While the experience was not bad, the value for money didn’t fully convince me. Not sure if I would return.

A pleasant surprise! We went yesterday to celebrate a dear friend's birthday, and I found the atmosphere very pleasant, and the staff very kind and friendly! The food was delicious, and tasted like home (even though I'm Brazilian, hehehe), but that's what I tried. A wonderful experience, worth repeating!
