Sum In Catania

The location is stunning. We booked a sea-view room and were given one overlooking the terrace below and the café's roof, which also had a sea view. The room was fine, as was the cleaning. A bit dated, but overall it wasn't too bad. The staff was very friendly. The beach was lovely and not overcrowded; good service: beach chairs, umbrellas, towels... It did get a bit busier and noisier on the weekend. An inconvenience we expressed our frustration about was resolved very professionally and appropriately. We would happily recommend the hotel.

Booked two superior partial sea view two months before trip since it is renovated rooms but I only got one as they were fully booked !!, so why then people book and pay in advance !!!, however, the buildings back to 90s and need to be renovated completly. You should expect the housekeeping staff enter the room anytime even if the privacy sign is there!! The breakfast is ordinary and the staff are not attentive and need to be organised.

I've loved Summit Beach in Gaeta since I was a child. I learned to swim there and spent the best vacation of my life there. It's unique, full of charm, with a sparkling allure and an unforgettable beach. It's impossible not to return.

Overall a good structure with a breathtaking view. The style could be modernized a bit but it remains pleasant. The staff is courteous but with some small flaws in the professionalism of the service. The restaurant is average, nothing that particularly impresses you. Let's say that for the potential of the structure and the location it could be improved given the significant costs that it requires from customers who stay or book the rooms for private parties.

The hotel is in an excellent location 10 minutes drive from the city, on a lovely bay with a private beach. We were in April before the bathing season so we didn't go into the sea but we really enjoyed the spacious room, the excellent service and the good breakfast. Highly recommended.
