Beautiful welcome from the owner. Very clean rooms and bathroom. The daughter, very sweet, came to our aid to pick us up with the car for one of our pilgrims in difficulty. In the evening we ate at the restaurant, all the dishes explained very well, beautiful and tasty, with attention to our needs. Pilgrim's menu with very wide choices for only 15 euros!!! We were very satisfied, restaurant and rooms highly recommended. To keep in mind for future holidays.

Very good restaurant! Generous portions and many truffle dishes. Above all, they have a great selection of gluten-free pasta and desserts. In addition, the waitress was very thorough in telling us the cooking times and giving us advice. The street of the restaurant is very wide and I think there could even be some parked cars. Amazing restaurant with great gluten-free variety and truffle menu.

We only had dinner there but it was all nicely prepared. Lots of pilgrims go there with St Francis decorations but the food is much more interesting than the standard pilgrim meal. Loved my Cioccolato Bianco con Gelato artigianale al Pistacchio e Sbriciolata di Biscotto Amaretto.

Had a wonderful stay at Sui Passi di Francesco in Valfabbrica while on the Pilgrim Way to Assisi. Warm hospitality, friendly service and a delicious dinner (extra).

Hosted after a rainy day, we received a truly excellent welcome. Beautiful and well-kept rooms with all the comforts Excellent accommodation before the last stop with a view of Assisi. Highly recommended

Mi sono fermato a Valfabbrica come fine tappa della Via di Francesco a dormire in questo piccolo hotel gestito da una signora molto gentile e premurosa che ti fa sentire subito a tuo agio. Ho deciso di cenare e non mi sono pentito perché raramente ho mangiato del cibo così gustoso e ben presentato. Naturalmente ho scelto le pietanze condite con il tartufo e una buona tagliata al gorgonzola. Sono andato a letto stanco per il cammino ma soddisfatto per quello che ho gustato.

A pleasant surprise! Found by chance, we had lunch discovering excellent dishes and courtesy of the owner! We had a mixed appetizer of cured meats, cheeses, croutons and omelette with truffles, a superlative chickpea soup and a very tender cut. Coffee and liqueur. High quality ingredients and a truly honest price. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Valfabbrica.

ci siamo capitati assolutamente per caso, era ora di pranzo ed eravamo di passaggio in questa zona. abbiamo mangiato davvero bene. il patè di fegatini super! ma anche le penne alla norcina con tartufo erano molto buone.

Sui Passi di Francesco is an extremely well-kept and relaxing place, pleasant and refined in its simplicity. And above all.. YOU EAT VERY WELL AT A LOW PRICE!!!! Places like this are increasingly rare nowadays. Honorable mention for their liver paté: IT MAKES YOU FLY!!!!!

Returning to Valfabbrica after three years of my journey was a gift at the beginning of the year. Excellent location for visiting Umbria. I had been to Manuela and Elisa's restaurant two years ago, I returned for 3 days in their B&B and it was like being at home. Gino simple and good. Kindness, hospitality, availability and friendliness are what distinguishes them. Thanks again and I hope to return again to your beautiful region and certainly In the footsteps of Francesco. Your fried chicken, dumplings and beef rice have been the cure for all the disappointments and sufferings since I have been in this city. I left super full, as with 15€ I also ate the waiter. Please tell me it is just a bad dream/joke and that it will reopen soon. I have loved you and will continue to love you forever.
26/04/2025: Locale piccolino e spartano nel centro di Perugia, frequentato principalmente da giovani. Servizio al tavolo veloce (anche l'asporto è validissimo). Obbligatoria la prenotazione, è sempre pieno tutta la settimana. Pietanze cinesi ottime, d'obbligo i ravioli cinesi di carne, il pollo in salsa agrodolce e il riso saltato con gamberi e verdure. Il prezzo è veramente onesto, super economico. Straconsigliato!!!

10/06/2025: Below I explain why my wife and I consider Perusia the best artisanal ice cream shop in Perugia that still exists. * Lemon ice cream is made with lemon and not with the commercial bases that in almost all other ice cream shops make lemon ice creams seem identical to those in supermarket tubs or almost; * Pistachio ice cream is made with real pistachios, chopped in the laboratory inside Perusia and not with pistachio pastes for ice cream; * Ditto for hazelnut and for the other flavors, including chocolate and coffee. It's just a shame that they don't make mint and licorice... Don't forget that Augusta Perusia is a true artisanal chocolate shop and that its laboratory is clearly visible to everyone, inside the shop, from behind a glass that shows it completely. Until last year, taking the lemon as a sample, we appreciated a second ice cream shop in Perugia that has two locations, one of which is in the center. But this ice cream shop, after the last check, disappointed us because the lemon, now like in almost all ice cream shops, resembles that of the supermarket tubs, even if a little better. P.S. Forget the negative reviews on Augusta Perusia (but not only on it) that to express an opinion focus on wrong attitudes of the staff or on details that have no impact on quality. It can happen anywhere to be treated badly and the reasons can be many. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone... The review of a restaurant, a bar and similar must first of all inform other users about the quality and goodness of the products. Everything else is debatable, can vary and can depend on tired or probationary staff who perhaps, in the meantime, have even been changed. Regardless, in two and a half years of attending we have always been treated very well in Augusta Perusia. When the Owner is there, then, it can be nice to exchange some conversations with her because her experience is rooted in the Perugian confectionery traditions and it is very interesting to listen to her; moreover, the Owner is a very kind Lady.
