Sugo In Livorno

If you have to choose only one restaurant around here to eat from choose Sugo!!! We stayed in Livorno for a month in this Venice district and found Sugo to be the most precious gem of a place. The food is fresh, unpretentious and amazing in taste. Everyone is friendly like a neighborhood vibe. A little sad when we have to say goodbye to Livorno!

Judgment nì... Nothing special, I expected much more since it had been recommended to me by Livorno natives and I had read very positive reviews. We ordered a mixed fish appetizer, good but rather common. Penne with scampi were good, fish balls were very good. Then we ordered the octopus cacciuccato which never arrived... They had got confused and it was no longer available. So we settled for tuna tartare and prawns in a stew, which in my opinion were defrosted. The setting was nice but extremely small and the service was too poor. The owners were nice but the service was slow, especially in clearing the table of finished dishes. In short, good but nothing special. Too bad, maybe the octopus would have given it one more star, who knows...

A restaurant with personality, personalized service, very good food, great dessert (pannacotta with Nutella) and a remarkable coffee. It's worth it. An excellent option in Livorno!

We chose this small restaurant based on feeling, we liked the idea of ​​a cozy environment for a Sunday lunch and our expectations were not disappointed: the place is very particular, there is an intense passion for music and conviviality, confirmed by the presence of the two owners who entertained us while waiting for the dishes, having pleasant conversations on these topics. We wanted to try fish dishes that fully satisfied us. I highly recommend the cremolato risotto, a poem of taste and softness! The very honest bill concluded the whole experience positively, which we will gladly repeat at the first opportunity to return. Well done guys, keep it up!

Abbiamo scelto questo piccolo ristorantino a sentimento, ci piaceva l'idea di un ambiente raccolto per un pranzo domenicale e le nostre aspettative non sono state disattese: il locale è molto particolare, si respira una passione intensa per la musica e la convivialità, confermata dalla presenza dei due titolari che ci hanno intrattenuto nell'attesa dei piatti conversando piacevolmente su questi temi. Abbiamo voluto assaggiare piatti di pesce che ci hanno soddisfatti appieno. Consiglio vivamente il risotto cremolato, una poesia di gusto e morbidezza! Il conto molto onesto ha concluso positivamente tutta l'esperienza, che ripeteremo volentieri alla prima occasione di ritorno. Bravi ragazzi, continuate così!
