It was a wonderful surprise...an elegant Sardinian-style restaurant, with a large fireplace and a breathtaking view. From appetizers to dessert, the flavors were genuine and authentic. The welcome was warm and friendly. We trusted the waiter's recommendations. The house wine was excellent. We will definitely return when we need peace and authentic hospitality. The price of our lovely lunch was absolutely fair.

Beautiful and well-kept place. The food wasn't particularly good quality; let's just say the dishes arrived cold, the pork was dry, most likely reheated from the previous day, and the prices were inappropriate. Very disappointing. The bill was high compared to what we ordered. We found ourselves with double dishes on the bill. Like two grilled meats.

Excessive disorganization and surprises on the bill! The place is nice and the food is good, but the experience was ruined by the disorganization. We waited forever even just for water, having to ask multiple times. With children in tow, it was an ordeal. Furthermore, they brought us items we hadn't ordered, which almost doubled the bill. Despite the kindness of the staff and the quality of the dishes, I don't think we'll return: management absolutely needs to improve!

17/06/2026: Very informal place, good service, and friendly staff. The food was good, the only flaw being the vegetable caponata, which wasn't caponata at all, but boiled vegetables. The typical Sardinian gnocchi, the dish of the day, were truly delicious. The friendly and approachable owner offered "morto" (a kind of fried bread) and "filuferro" (a kind of fried bread).
11/06/2026: I'm giving it 5 stars because I can't give it 10! We stumbled upon this place by chance, and it's been our favorite place in Orosei ever since! Authentic, freshly prepared cuisine with daily specials that are anything but predictable and delicious. Excellent value. Tore, the owner, is incredibly friendly and kind! And Debora, the waitress, is also very good and friendly! At the end of the meal, there's an unmissable moment with Tore, who offers you myrtle and other liqueurs and chats with us. Every time we're in Orosei, Sa Merenda is definitely a must-visit!

04/05/2026: Absolutely love it here! Please do not listen to the bad reviews - this place is amazing! The lady is so kind and accommodating, my friend is gluten and dairy free and they accommodated for her perfectly. The lady also made sure we got home safely to our campsite and gave us a lift! A meal we will never forget 🩷
30/04/2026: Family-run trattoria. Tasty dishes and attention to detail. Very friendly and welcoming owners. Excellent value. Highly recommended!
