Su Furriadroxu In Pula

Su Furrattroxiu is a Sardinian trattoria that offers delicious home cooking. With an outdoor dining area surrounded by plants, it's the perfect place for hanging out with friends or an intimate dinner with that special someone. With fine wines and meals perfect for sharing and tasting, it's a hidden but perfect place to dine. They specialize in spit-roasted suckling pig, snails with garlic and parsley, wild boar in red wine sauce just to name a few dishes. As vegetarians, there are options for us too. We enjoyed a nice vegetable platter, traditional colurgiones and a nice plate of ricotta and saffron ravioli with a house red wine. It was a beautiful evening even though we arrived a little late and with the tables full, they were happy to make room for us and we had a great time.

It’s not always easy to get a reservation, so do book in advance .. traditional Sardinian , with a wide variety of options.. guaranteed to eat well

Restaurant with typical Sardinian dishes, like many in Sardinia, of good quality and good, courteous and fast service. Even out of season it is best to book. Very attractive starter platters as well as the first courses and the meats, the porceddu is good and plentiful, they don't have fish on the menu. These days we always end with a Seadas (or Sebadas) and the one eaten here was the best of those we tried.

Ottimo ristorante sardo, sempre pieno, in centro a pula. Grande organizzazione in sala. Mangiato un buon porceddu. Giusto un appunto: è molto bello e caratteristico il cortiletto dove si mangia: perché tenere i tendoni che fanno solo caldo e rovinano l’ambiente?

Right, anyone rating this below 5 stars is a moron. We come to Sardinia most years as we have a friend here. She introduced us to this place the first time we came. It’s pure, simple Sardinian (not Italian) food in a rustic setting, just off the piazza in Pula. There are some great places to eat all around, but this place (owned by the wonderfully likeable Andrea) is genuine. Wine in old fashioned glasses, suckling pigs roasting on spits as you come in… Things might *seem* dated when you walk in, but you quickly realise this is all, family owned / decades owned authenticity. It’s fantastic and it’s filed with locals in peak season. Try the mushrooms in garlic, parsley and tomato sauce, or the mutton in a similar sauce. The suckling pig (I don’t eat pork but my wife / her family do) seems to bring the house down every time. Honestly, book in advance and get yourself down here. It’s pure rustic Sardinian joy. Anyone slating this place is a nailed on moron.
