Stuzzicando In Palermo

Lo abbiamo recentemente provato per cena, in tre abbiamo preso due antipasti (polpo arrosto e caponata con pane e pesce), tre secondi di pesce (calamaro arrosto, spada arrosto e gamberoni) e due dolci (cannolo e croccante). Tranne il polpo, troppo duro, gli altri piatti sono stati graditi da tutti; davvero gustosa la caponata, anche ben presentata (oltre che buona). Ciò che ci è piaciuto meno è stato il servizio (ragazzi forse inesperti ma gentili e disponibili, comunque da incoraggiare) e soprattutto la sistemazione dei tavoli nel locale, troppi per lo spazio disponibile; ci si poteva muovere a stento e, pur comprendendo che lo spazio è quello che è, si sta troppo vicini l'uno all'altro. Prezzo accettabile se si fruisce dello sconto The Fork. Non escludo di tornarci, si trova a pochi passi dallo storico mercato di Ballarò.

There are many improvements that are possible, but overall everything is fine: - the quality is very high - the service is trained - the restaurant is small (and the toilet is too small!) In my opinion the appropriate rating is 4 stars

Characteristic place, immersed in the typical market of Palermo. We ate very well, the service and hospitality were truly top notch. Young and smart management. I recommend it.

Generally good... There are poor tables near the entrance, because the locals don't really understand the concept of closing the door, which is bad in the evening in winter... They don't serve pizza in the evening...

I actually think about stopping off there quite often, because they are lovely, friendly, uncomplicated hosts. And that's worth a lot to me. The charming alleyway does have the disadvantage that mopeds are constantly whizzing through here - this is disturbing even when enjoying a glass of wine, because you always breathe in the stench of the exhaust fumes yourself. In addition, the many mopeds in this - actually so tranquil alley - create (for me) an unpleasant hustle and bustle. Inside, on the other hand, I find it very cramped. The restaurant is also very narrow. In addition, there is virtually no mobile phone reception inside (but if you don't go there alone, you shouldn't have your nose glued to your mobile phone anyway). So far I've always had a glass of wine (or more than one...). I tended to eat something to nibble on, like pizza (which was good) rather than fish or meat dishes. There is also an inner courtyard at the back, which is perhaps the best place to enjoy lunch or dinner. The restaurant is very close to the Ballarô Mercato - and before you buy something reheated and/or fried in rancid fat there, it's much better to try Sicilian dishes here. It's much more worthwhile in culinary terms. See you very soon, for a 🍷 or more. ☆☆☆ Addendum - Supplement: Sometimes you have to correct yourself. After more than 1 year as a regular customer... I experienced an unpleasant 2-class society today: no pizza for normal guests (pizza chefs on holiday) - and then, however: pizza for the owner's family. When I asked why there were pizzas... but not for "normal" guests, there was no satisfactory answer. What do we learn from this? Guests are of no interest unless... it is the non-paying family that is being catered for.
