31/03/2025: Excellent food, ambience and service.
31/03/2025: Well, in the end, we were disappointed with my wife. We went on a Sunday for lunch to this restaurant located in a central position in Valguarnera. The other restaurants in the area, called before, one was full and the other was closed, therefore, given the time, we opted for this one. Upon our arrival, only one table occupied, a somewhat anonymous environment but the owner welcomed us very kindly and made us change the table with courtesy. We took two fish appetizers mixed between cooked and marinated which could have been more appetizing but unfortunately they weren't. Then two pasta dishes with fennel and sardines in red sauce, these two dishes also didn't excite us. The sauce in our opinion was rather heavy but still better than the two appetizers. To finish we chose a dessert, decomposed ricotta cannoli, which this time was really good.
With a bottle of mineral we paid €38.50 each. A high price in our opinion for what we got.
However, apart from the kindness shown towards us, in the end they didn't even offer us the classic bitters or coffee, we were rather dissatisfied also for the amount spent.

3/31/25 -Revision of the review posted yesterday-
After my review I was contacted by Mr. Gaetano D'Angelo, the owner of the Valguarnera restaurant Repubblica 20 due.
I must say that I really appreciated his gesture, it shows *great attention to the customer* and in the end after a pleasant chat we agreed that I will return to his restaurant with family/friends, so we will have the opportunity, in the meantime, to put everything back into question and I am convinced that my review will be modified and, this time, it will be positive.
It's not easy to deal with sensitive and professional people as the owner of this restaurant has demonstrated!
