05/05/2026: We had an excellent experience at this sushi restaurant in Bari. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the menu offers a wide variety of dishes, with original and well-balanced combinations. We really appreciated the quality of the rice and the attention to detail in the presentation of each dish. The restaurant is modern, clean, and has a pleasant atmosphere, ideal for a dinner with friends. The staff is quick, attentive, and always very friendly. Definitely one of the best in the city for sushi lovers.
02/05/2026: Unfortunately, Sushi Lin has lost its former luster.
The food used to be fresh and appetizing, the service was attentive, precise, and friendly, and, above all, the food was truly delicious for an AYCE restaurant. Now, however, the food has lost much of its freshness: it doesn't taste bad, mind you, but the quality is clearly inferior.
You certainly can't expect much from an AYCE restaurant, and no one expects anything fancy, but the food used to be delicious; now, however, everything is rather undefined, flavorless, and, in some cases, even unpleasant to eat.
Some dishes left a strange impression, almost as if the ingredients were no longer fresh or were prepared with little care.
It's a shame, because once upon a time, the difference with other AYCE restaurants was truly noticeable.
I almost draw a veil over the service.
At one point, the waiter kept placing full plates on top of other plates still full of food; he had filled the table and, oblivious to anything, was almost placing the plates on top of the food already there.
We asked him first very politely, twice, and then firmly, to be more careful or at least slow down the servings, but he, probably due to a language barrier, looked at us confused, unable to understand what we were saying.
It seemed like he was only scheduled to deliver dishes.
We were forced to contact the person who now manages the restaurant directly, asking for at least the good taste to not put new dishes inside the ones still in use, but we were given unconvincing explanations.
We're truly sorry, because he was a point of reference for us, but we're unlikely to return.
One last piece of advice: I understand how difficult it is to find staff, but it would be important to allow the young people to acquire at least a basic familiarity with the language and a sensitivity to customer/waiter interactions.
Being a waiter without being able to understand customers' requests puts both them and the diners in difficulty. And, honestly, it's not even the guys' fault, but rather a system that's become unhealthy, where the customer is just a number and therefore the waiter might not even understand what they're saying. Ultimately, the guys need work, it's not their fault.
I understand the enthusiastic comments; perhaps they're people discovering it for the first time or who haven't tried anything else. We, who have been going there since it opened, notice a sad decline in quality.
Of course, the price is one of the lowest in the city, but is it worth saving a few euros only to find yourself in certain situations?
Not for us!
I repeat, we went there because it was a point of reference for us. We assumed everything would be fine, as it was some time ago. We're taking it for granted.
