Stefano Covino - Pizzeria In Rolo

01/08/2026: Since we had accommodation nearby, we wanted to try the trattoria. When we arrived, we were the only guests. The owner came over and had a QR code linking to an English menu, which we appreciated. However, the young waitress who took our order was very cold and not particularly friendly. The mixed cold cuts platter was good, as were the fried bread and the supposed dips. We had the lasagna, which I found a bit too dry but tasted good, and the cappella salsa, which was sensational. When we asked for the bill, we were a bit shocked. There were quite a few items on it that were on the table but that we hadn't ordered. I think it's quite cheeky to have to pay an extra €12 for things we didn't order. We definitely won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

24/07/2026: I went to Trattoria Cognento for a family lunch and I think I'll return whenever I feel like eating Emilian food. I don't have much to say about the appetizers, other than the gnocchi, which were very good. The highlight are the first courses: the tagliatelle with duck ragù melted in your mouth, even the meat. It's a shame I didn't order the cappelletti in brodo; they'll be an excuse to return. Furthermore, the service was impeccable and welcoming. The only downside: the bathrooms were functional but had a few issues (e.g., the sink was leaking). Recommended for those who like to sit down with a baking dish of tagliatelle in the center of the table.
