Unpleasant bartender, not friendly at all. Maybe he needs rest or has problems but customers don't treat each other that way!!! Never again! UPDATE : I returned to this place in January because a friend invited me here even though I would never set foot again, this time I had a very good time. The bartender was very friendly and quick, Hugo was good and the appetizers were good enough.

Trattoria alla Maddalena

07/05/2025: Im November 2025 waren wir von der Trattoria und dem chinesischen Wirt begeistert. Inzwischen wird die Trattoria von einem neuen Wirt geführt. Die Küche ist nach wie vor gut und preiswert, die Atmosphäre ist aber bei weitem nicht mehr wie im November 2025.
27/04/2025: Hewar era nuestro anfitrión más amable y nos trató como familia. Llegamos bastante tarde en la noche después de un largo día de viaje. Hewar proporcionó sugerencias de cenas y bebidas junto con una conversación amistosa que ayudó a que fuera una primera noche inolvidable en Venecia. La comida era excelente y el vino era aún mejor. Muy recomendable!

21/07/2025: Celebrated my daughter's graduation with friends. Excellent service, professional, friendly, and very helpful staff, great prices. We'll be back. I recommend it for a lovely evening.
16/06/2025: I think the management has changed because the published photos do not represent the current menu. The food is all of excellent quality, the bread is homemade with sourdough and is delicious, the beers are excellent and very particular, the wines are excellent, you absolutely have to try the knife-cut tartare, the homemade roast beef, and the creamed cod. I highly recommend trying this cicchetteria!
