A lovely little place just a 5-minute drive from the center of Varese, ideal for a nice aperitivo in my opinion!
I ordered a Campari Spritz and my boyfriend a glass of red. They bring chips and peanuts, but otherwise they have a wide selection of menu items, including platters of cold cuts and cheeses, battered vegetables, and even first and second courses. 🙂 We ordered their potato chips and a platter of raw ham (excellent quality) accompanied by fried gnocco.
The atmosphere is cozy, slightly dimly lit, the waiters are friendly, and the service is fairly quick.

We went because we saw an ad for their elephant ear cutlet and were really pleased. We hadn't found anything like it in the area. It comes with a side of baked potatoes and a salad included in the price, and it was excellent.
The staff were friendly and the service was attentive. It wasn't very busy, but that can be normal on a Sunday evening, so the atmosphere was very relaxing and pleasant.
