The Spiller in Padua is a well-known venue located in a structure that was once a historic furnace, the Fornace Carotta, built at the end of the nineteenth century (1884).
The kiln was used for the production of bricks and bricks, fundamental for the building expansion of the city. Subsequently, after being abandoned, it was renovated and reconverted, keeping some architectural details intact that recall its industrial past.
Today it houses the Spiller restaurant, which is characterized by its welcoming atmosphere and the mix of modern and historical elements. It offers a varied cuisine, accompanied by a wide selection of craft beers.

We stumbled upon it by chance leaving the motorway and heading to Padua. Definitely a positive place both for the good and varied food of Tyrolean cuisine but not only. Very nice and spacious place, if you are passing through recommended for something to eat.

Beautiful place, variety of dishes from sandwiches to pizzas, very good.
Excellent service and fast free parking. The only flaw is the prices are a little higher than the average of other places.

The place is very nice even if distracting, the food is of medium quality and nothing special. Indeed, the pizza is stringy and heavy even if it is small in size. Good beers. Quite expensive for the service and quality you got. List full of proposals

The place is very large and you have to be lucky that your order leaves before that of the next table, otherwise the waiting times are very long. Similar story for the seats, if you end up in the "galleries" the environment becomes very confusing and you have to shout to talk to whoever is in front of you.
I remembered a much better club sandwich, this evening I spent €20 to eat bread with a thin strip of seasoning, insipid and immediately stale potatoes (on this point I see that many agree) and a 7UP on tap. I won't go back

Il personale mi ha risposto male alla mia richiesta di un tavolo in cui non arrivasse il sole in faccia ai commensali. Il cibo era abbastanza buono anche se i piatti mi sono risultati un po' cari per il tipo di locale e di servizio.

dopo anni sono tornato in questo locale sempre accogliente e con il personale di sala gentile e professionale non posso dire altrettanto bene della pizza piccola di dimensioni e scarsa di ingredienti inoltre l'impasto assai duro e gommoso peccato me la ricordavo assai diversa PS un consiglio al cuoco sulla carbonara non ci va la panna
