Soul Kitchen - Tapas in Town In Siracusa

It's not really my style of cooking, but I liked what I ate, with new flavors and well-prepared dishes.

Alright... Look, if you're a proper bloke, and you're used to your lovely wife making you dinner everyday and putting peas in everything to create an illustration called 'dinner', you'll probably have a really good meal here. However, if your taste buds are used to more than just fried sadness and mediocrity.... This just isn't your place. The food could be described as Taylor Swift. Some of it wasn't awful at best, but mostly just nothing that a nerdy teenager with a keyboard and a laptop couldn't make in their bedroom at home, or in this case a semi grown up with a pan and some olive oil. The cocktail, although shaken with the passion only an Italian could provide, tasted as if an unhinged teenager from Rotherham left his sweaty week old knickers in the cocktail shaker. But in all fairness, the staff is genuinely nice and helpful, the atmosphere almost made you think the restaurant is top notch, but I just feel they could do better. Maybe make sure all the dishes are at least at the same level, because not everything was awful. It just had more potential.

This was our first meal in Syracuse, and we were not disappointed at all. First of all, the English was excellent. We were delighted to be able to chat and get explanations about the dishes that we could understand. The staff were friendly at all times, and the tapas are truly delicious. We highly recommend it. We will return to try the different types of wines they offer. The service is fast, and the option to eat inside or outside is a big plus.

Wow, what a restaurant. High end, classy & friendly experience....all home made produce. Excellent service & the best food experience in town. Away from the TOURIST zone also. Excellent beer choice also. Family owned & lovely relaxed happy family feel to the restaurant..... Everything on the menu explained in a professional & knowledge way, they really care for the customers & quality.......... I really liked everything about this restaurant. First of all, the food was great. We shared two tapas and one burger. They tasted really good and the portion size was fair. They also served fresh bread with local olive oil. The oil was fantastic and the staff gave us a tip where to buy it. The ambiance is casual yet chic, decorated with cute posters and lamps. The staff spoke very good English and super friendly. Five stars well deserved!

A non-touristy place, with very good food and very good service 🥰
