On holiday in Chia we were looking for a place by the sea where we could eat fish without fainting. Despite the 40 minute drive, this place attracted our curiosity and we were not disappointed! We also returned a second evening. Excellent fried food, very fresh oysters and grilled food, all of excellent quality! Very friendly and welcoming staff. Popular prices, almost half of the places in Chia that are not even on the sea!. The place is frequented by local people and the atmosphere is that of a village festival, but for us the substance is more important than the form... and who knows, we might do the hat trick before leaving again!

Very nice right from the moment of booking. Attentive, kind and humane. Thanks to the waitress who followed us throughout the dinner. The pizzas are good

Great place. Despite the negative reviews, my wife and I were delighted. The waiters are very nice people. The food was top-notch. I especially want to highlight the oysters. They were perfect. We had octopus and fish. The dishes were served within 10 minutes after ordering. I didn't find a single reason to be dissatisfied. Excellent restaurant and delicious food.

We spontaneously visited the restaurant today and had a delicious evening in a wonderful ambience under olive trees and with the sound of the sea. Delicious pizza and good wine were the crowning glory, the restaurant is highly recommended!

We stopped for an early evening drink. Very very quiet but imagine it gets much busier. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately at seven in the evening we were the only customers but understandable. Lovely spot overlooking the beautiful sea.

21/12/2024: Located just beside the historic Bastione, Antico Caffè in Cagliari pulses with a delightful energy that instantly draws you in. With a lively atmosphere that captures the spirit of the city, it’s a great place to soak in local vibes while enjoying a cup of Italian coffee or a bite to eat. The outdoor seating provides a wonderful view, although we did encounter a seasonal issue with flies. However, the staff was quick to accommodate us inside, where we continued to enjoy our experience uninterrupted. Inside, the charm continues with stylish decor and a comfortable setting. Despite the minor inconvenience, Antico Caffè’s energetic vibe, attentive service, and quality offerings more than make up for it. It’s a spot not to be missed when in Cagliari.

Ristorante Pizzeria Santa Maria

28/11/2024: Eating there 2 evenings first half of October 2024. Very nice restaurant, slightly out of town with sufficient car parking facilities. Excellent food, fast service, attentive staff, good price/quality ratio. Quickly full so reservation is a must in high and in-between season. Although visited by both locals and tourists alike, speaking Italian is definitely helping when you want to order vegan food.
31/10/2024: We have been eating at Santa Maria on vacation for about 30 years. Still the same friendly owners greet you personally. The menu is varied, the food is good and the service is quick. Thank you Luzia and Michele
