Today we decided to celebrate our anniversary with a seafood dinner at a small, renowned restaurant, the Sovrano. It's an intimate and meticulously maintained restaurant. Chef Franco presented us with the day's specials, and they were so extensive and mouthwatering that we struggled to choose. His wife, Alessandra, manages the dining room with care and professionalism. She looked after us impeccably. We chose the red prawn tartare, the swordfish Catalana, and mixed boiled meats as appetizers, all delicious and beautifully plated. Then came the spaghetti with scampi alla busara and a classic spaghetti with veraci. To finish, a dessert of mascarpone cream with amaretti biscuits. The accompanying Sauvignon Blanc was very good. All in all, an excellent experience. Recommended.

I can only say that this is the restaurant where I made my girlfriend fall in love. And it's still our favorite place. Everything is truly delicious, and the chef's colorful pants are Instagram-worthy 😅😁

For an important event I came to dinner here with a group of friends. A place outside of Padua that honestly if it hadn't been for these friends, I would have hardly discovered it, internally it is very nice and the service in addition to being fast is also very professional and friendly. As for dishes we took:
-Tuna tartare: ++

-Salmon tartare: ++
-Swordfish Catalana: +
-Spaghetti with clams: ++
-Capunti asparagus and shrimp tails: ++

-Mixed fried food: + (perhaps the dish I liked the least)
Really excellent and top quality quality, I was really surprised and I can't wait to go back because it is truly a high quality place to try

Sopratutto is a very cozy and intimate restaurant, for this reason I believe that reservations are essential, it is family-run, the beautiful and elegant owner manages the room admirably, her husband always with his inevitable and very original multicolored trousers that recall the Buranese spirit of the place, patiently "decants" the menu to you every time and it is as if it were the first time, illustrating wonderful dishes that you begin to dream about before even seeing them, the Cook who with such beauty could have been a model, but has chosen to dedicate herself to the noble Art of Cooking and from there her Professionalism is evident.
Granted, the price is slightly higher than average, but it is certainly due to the fact that once the day is over, the fish that is left over, if left over, is absolutely not proposed again the next day, in fact, sometimes I prefer to spend a few euros more and eat divinely instead of saving 10/15 euros and going home with a bitter mouth.
Let's get to the food. I would consider that of Sopratutto almost a religious experience, used to frequenting equally renowned places I can say with full knowledge of the facts that never, ever during my visits have I found a single fish that does not live up to their fame, the spaghetti with Grancioporro al Rosmarino con Bottarga make you think and a Grancioporro just out of the oven patiently pulped as a condiment for excellent thin spaghettini of hidden origin, the raw Scampi of rare quality to find (you can see them on their Fb or Instagram).
If sometimes you do not find all the fish listed on the menu, it will only be because they were unable to fish it the day before or it did not live up to their expectations.
A book and not just a post should be dedicated to this restaurant that is nothing short of one of a kind.
Personally I was positively enchanted by this goodness.
