We went to the very interesting Su Tempiesu archaeological site and, after visiting, asked for a nearby place to eat. Snak Bar Deiana was recommended to us, so after calling to make sure it was open, we showed up. The kind young woman who greeted us told us they had recently moved the restaurant to a nearby space, converted from an apartment into a dining room. So, we ate as if we were in a private home, which seemed a little strange, but very pleasant and welcoming. The food was certainly enjoyable: we opted for delicious fritters with local herbs, typical Orune pasta made with barley, one with artichokes and one with cherry tomatoes and bottarga. For our main course, we had excellent wild boar steaks with chips, and we finished with seadas, which we shared. All this was accompanied by a good house wine from Atzara. We were satisfied with the food, but we especially appreciated the dedication of the young man who cooked this delicious lunch for us. Well done. Keep it up. Thanks, Priamo, Francesco, and Cristian.

We had the pleasure of lunch at the Snack Bar Deiana on our way back from visiting the Su Romanzesu Archaeological Site. The choice couldn't have been more perfect. Ninuccia and her family's passion translates into dishes featuring exclusively local ingredients. Locally harvested herbs, handcrafted cheeses and grains, the genuine friendliness of the people, and the welcoming town take you on a journey through surprising and forgotten flavors. A discovery as precious as the archaeological site's findings. Highly recommended. And the kitchen is always open.

We were supposed to stop for just a coffee, then we got a flat tire, and then it was time for lunch, and then we enjoyed some excellent Sardinian cuisine. The atmosphere was simple, the service was friendly and welcoming. A tip: try the fennel liqueur!
