The food and service leave little to be desired. Had Pizza Romana and it was very well topped (unusually a lot) but very tasty.

The bruschetta and charcuterie board are tasty, the offer of red wines is poor and the prices are very high (24 euros for the cheapest local wine). Typical tourist place.

Simple environment, good food, especially the cold cuts and cheese platter, minus the bruschetta. Fair price, mediocre professional service only the girl with glasses. Dirty and unsuitable bathroom for the room

My husband, daughter and I have eaten here four times on our vacation. The food is very tasty, the service staff are nice and attentive. The restaurant is right on the street, you can watch the holidaymakers passing by while you eat 😉 - clear recommendation ☀️

Il Chiosco Portello Caffe di Lonato, si trova all'interno del C.C. Il Leone Shopping Center

16/01/2025: Popped over yesterday and got a caffe con gelato with straciatella. Quite tasty and just the right pick me up for a stressful day. Thankful that they have a location at the mall, because I don’t always want to navigate parking in Desenzano.
03/11/2024: Nice place with correct prices. Tried a tart with butter cream and it wasn't bad. Just a little wait for the receipt

19/01/2025: Huge portions but the gelato is not bad. I understand the criticism of many reviewers though as prices are not conveniently displayed or explained
29/12/2024: Today we stopped here for a quick takeaway snack. They invited us to sit down allowing us to eat at the table, very friendly staff, excellent service. One more point: the toilets are really well kept (and that's not for everyone). Compliments.
