S'LAB In Milano

This place is always a safe bet! You'll likely find a line, but the service is pretty quick, so you don't waste too much time. There are trays at the entrance if you want to grab some sweets from the display case; otherwise, you just have to move on and be served at the counter where you can find cakes and individual portions. I've already tried their crepe cake, but today I tried the mango melon pan—an excellent dessert! I can't wait to go back. The espresso isn't bad either. The place isn't very big; there are a few tables inside; you have to be a bit lucky to find a spot, but it's not impossible.

Very nice place, it's a great alternative to a traditional breakfast. The staff is welcoming and the service is fast. There's a huge selection of products and the space is clean.

I only had the mango granita, which was really good. The fruit was very fresh. You could taste the quality of the mango! The place was very crowded, but we managed to get a seat. The service was a bit average; the girl served other people who arrived after me first.

It was just excellent, the sweet and delicious, the salty lacked a little taste but it's okay, the saleswomen were adorable!

The desserts are truly delicious, especially the azuki bean dorayaki and the melon pan. A must-try every time I visit Milan.

I ordered the egg tart, chicken drumstick bread, hot dog bun, and seaweed meat floss bun. I thought the egg tart was very interesting because instead of a buttery crust, it had a crispy flaky crust similar to sfogliatella. The seaweed bun was very good because the meat floss had a crispy texture. The chicken drumstick bread was literally a bone-in chicken drumstick with bread around it; flavor wise it was nothing special but I thought it was a cool concept. The hot dog bun was also fine. Overall, I liked everything and would go back.

We were so excites for this place, however, it was rather average. The prices are surprisingly fair, but the bakery products were just fine. The melon pan was a bit too dry (vs. what we tried in Japan), and the savory products were oily. We enjoyed the filled pancakes tho! Fresh and with enough filling! Maybe we were just unlucky with the selection, otherwise all the items look visually tasty.

We loved S'LAB! We really fell in love with this cafe/bakery. We had breakfast there for a very reasonable price and then went back for our lunch to go. They offer to heat the dishes, but we ate them cold on the train and they were still very good! You'll find a wide selection of products for excellent value for money.

The food is delicious. I come here often. I am really touched by the waitresses. They are very considerate (especially the one who seems to be called Weiwei. I heard other waitresses call her by her name. She is really nice). However, the weather has been hot recently, so it feels stuffy and hot inside.
