A very pleasant and special place to share Trieste food. Just a few blocks from the main square. Highly recommended.

Historical spot, a real MUST for atmosphere and local food

Very prompt and efficient service, thanks for that. We had a bunch of dishes, anchovies, cevapcici, gnocchi with pork. They felt reheated and sort of bland. The menu isn’t large but there were really interesting looking suggestions. A bit of a disappointment.

We ventured to Siora Rosa, a name that in Trieste needs no introduction. A true city institution, where time seems to have stopped – in a good way. Here you can breathe in the Trieste of the past: concrete, genuine, welcoming. The place is spartan but well-kept, without frills: paper placemats, essential furnishings and an atmosphere that feels like home. It is the classic place where you come to eat well, without distractions, and where substance counts more than form. Reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends or during the more touristy periods: despite the relaxed atmosphere, Siora Rosa is much loved by the people of Trieste and beyond. We decided to try the mixed boiled meats from Trieste, which in these parts is a serious thing. And it was truly a blow to the heart – tender, tasty, accompanied by the classic sauces and traditional side dishes. A dish that speaks of family Sundays, of old-fashioned cooking, without compromise. The staff? Kind, fast and without too many turns of phrase. Just as you would expect in a place like this. They make you feel welcome, but without exaggerating: sincere professionalism, like the city that hosts them. Ultimately, Siora Rosa is one of those places to hold on to. An experience that takes you back to the authentic Trieste, the one that sometimes risks getting lost among trendy places and passing fads. Here you eat simply, well, and at more than fair prices. A trattoria of those that are remembered.
