In theory it's a bar, but in reality you can have lunch or dinner at a very high level. They offer traditional homemade Trieste dishes. We had warm cooked ham in a bread crust, mustard, and sauerkraut—delicious. Highly recommended!

We just sat down at Siora Rosa: we've eaten, are finishing our prosecco, and ordered an espresso. The restaurant pleasantly surprised us. We tried several dishes and each one was a hit. The food is excellent, and the staff is smiling, kind, and very friendly. We especially recommend the lasagna with sausage and the Greek artichokes with stracchino. Highly recommended!

Buffet Marascutti 1914

08/12/2025: I had dinner last night at Vecio Buffet Marasciutti, a restaurant that's been open since the early 1900s and is a true Trieste institution. I don't have any photos of the dishes, because every time the dish arrived, all I could do was savor the moment. And that's the real strength: the food was a delight with every forkful, a thrill of authentic flavors. The atmosphere is typical, timeless, and pleasant. The service is simple, simple, and friendly. I think Vecio Buffet Marascutti is a must-see for anyone in Trieste. Go there and prepare to leave your phone in your pocket. PS: Reservations, if not required, are highly recommended.

04/01/2025: Che posto piacevole! Accogliente con quel tanto di atmosfera familiare che ci vuole, personale gentile e professionale. Cibo tipico con un tocco in più. Abbiamo pranzato insieme ad un ospite calabrese che ha apprezzato molto la cucina triestina. Tutto era perfetto. Prosciutto ottimo, carne saporita e di qualità, gnocchi di pane e susine particolari davvero. Consigliato.
