We couldn't even sit down because everything was booked until the evening so we ate takeaway and found two stools in a corner to sit on. But the food was really good, so it was worth the inconvenience and wait. I highly recommend booking but the day before...

Buffet triestino con piatti di gusto e qualità media supportati da un personale molto cordiale e simpatico che fa passare un po' in secondo piano il resto. Prosciutto cotto caldo non eccellente. Polpette al pomodoro buone. Ripeto 4 stelle solo per il personale e la location piacevole. Il cibo meriterebbe max 3 stelle.

In pieno centro di Trieste si trova questo ristorante. Il personale molto gentile e disponibile, il cibo è buono e gustoso. Tutto bene o quasi, perché in realtà in quella che è una ottima birreria in perfetto stile austro-ungarico nel menù mancano gli antipasti. E alla fine la sensazione è quella di aver mangiato bene, ma di aver dimenticato qualcosa.

11/01/2025: It may also be a place with a lot of history and you have to queue for a table, but the meats in the cauldron could improve and return to the dishes as they once were. It's all become very touristy.

13/12/2024: Fantastic experience. The food was really delicious. We tried the Istrian drumsticks with chicken (very tasty), the Trieste jota (perfectly balanced) and the mixed boiled meat (very high quality ingredients). The desserts were also delicious. The environment is small, welcoming and really well looked after. Courteous and competent staff. I would return to Trieste just to eat here! Super recommended!
