Early in the morning, in windy Genoa, I stopped for breakfast in this delightful bistro. I was welcomed with kindness in a clean, well-kept and very particular environment. I highly recommend it to anyone who is in Genoa and wants to take a break while walking through the alleys. It is also possible to have lunch, with a wide choice of dishes available.

This is a hidden treasure with many authentic Italian dishes. Locals love this tucked away cozy spot to linger on long lunches. We went back a few times. The food and wine is tasty and well priced.

I have been going to this place for lunch for some time, the quality of the ingredients is excellent, the price is honest, the staff are helpful and jovial. I often eat tartare, which is definitely delicious accompanied by vegetables and a teaspoon of a truly excellent spicy sauce. I definitely recommend it for a good lunch break.

The lunches in this restaurant are absolutely satisfying: the location in Vico San Matteo, in the heart of the historic center of Genoa, and the style of the interiors are a winner; the staff were very courteous (they allow personal variations in the composition of the dishes) and the proposals were excellent: the Papavero salad with turkey, tomatoes, poppy seeds, walnuts and burrata - requested to replace the mozzarella - was delicious, as were the sandwiches. The cake with almonds and carrots or chocolate is also very good. Really advantageous price compared to the goodness of the food. Definitely recommended!
